probably a sweet spot in the middle somewhere eh? without giving all the power to the owners and stripping the players of any security at all? Shrug. Not too worried about it. Hopefully there is something like a pressure release valve for each team, maybe one "get out of a bad contract card" per season? -

The only reason i disagree with you is "sucking" in sports is very subjective. You are asking to give teams the ability to fire anyone they don't like or can't squeeze under the cap pretty much whenever they want. The annual buyout does what your asking while keeping the teams honest. I think such a clause would see offersheets go sky high only to see a player fired a year later for a bad OT playoff goal against. Basically would negate the idea of a cap in the first place. I could be wrong, just off the top of my head. -

off the top of my head, i think we have 17m coming off the books this summer IF we buyout Eriksson. I know it more than 11m but can't recall the math i did 3 weeks ago. haha. -
MSG NEWS Jefferson's Edition. Movin on up. Just a few short weeks ago the Rangers were decidedly selling stated assets far before the deadline in an effort to refresh the stable of prospects and prepare for next year. However in the weeks that have passed, we have revisited our processes and retooled our front office workings. I feel this has led to a better handle on our overall situational awareness. As such, players like Victor Rask and Jujhar Khaira have been quietly taken off the block. These value players have since been responsible for 18 pool points thus far in the month of March. No big headlines there, on the surface, however 55 and 70 points on the season respectively is not that bad for two fellas who may only now at 28 and 26 years old be coming into their own in the NHL. The Rangers, once the 2nd worst club in the league, just a handful of weeks ago, now on the rise at 23rd overall in the standings and looking to climb to the "Peloton" of the middle third in a few more weeks, with puck luck and the odd bounce, the view from the drivers seat is that we are no "air quotes" sellers, but rather looking for small little situations and tweaks that will make us better without diminishing this group of guys we have in the room today. The club is intent on getting better and if we can't improve our prospects, then we can improve our draft allocations! The following good folks are still available to add an extra bit of depth to any club, the playoff bound in particular, with assets of clubs who are at least top five in their divisions in bold for the following otb players: Kyle Okposo, Cody Eakin, Marco Scandella, Scott Harrington, Thomas Novak, Tim Soderlund, Mitch Eliot, Filip Westerlund, Parker Wotherspoon, Emil Djuse, and Dale Weise. Not surprisingly, the right offer would have to be in place for Scandella and Harrington, but they are available with these 9 other players.

Recall: the New York Rangers recall Michael Rasmussen from the Lakers. That should square my club with 23 players. Off to the hospital. Enjoy the quiet time. lol
-
Apologies, my mistake, I had thought I recalled him shortly after this. post here. Recall: the New York Rangers recall Casey Mittelstadt from the Lakers Recall: The New York Rangers recall Scott Harrington from the Lakers.
-
I had thought we lost Scott Harrington on waivers, so I am happy to see this. Must have been thinking about Czarnik. Thank you to Braydon Coburn for putting in the work since December for the Rangers and improving your value in the league. Braden HOLTBY has come to New York and re-signed for two! Wohoo. Thank you to the agent for fast fair negotiations. Just Mittelstadt missing form my big club, I will find the post and bump it.

Tough decision on this one. Adam Gaudette seems to be a well rounded jack of all trades player that our club is short on with so many role players and big shoots involved. We figure the ability to move up and down the lineup as required is a feature of Adam Gaudette's that really appealed to me at this stage in our club's build. Very hard to move on from the other Adam in the deal. Adam Ruzicka should be a very decent GML player in a year or two as he cuts his teeth in the pros and puts the finishing touches on his game. We felt that our 'window' may be opening in the next season or two and putting some flourishes on the roster before year end this year was a very good idea. After that mental process, this deal was a GO. I recall maybe a week ago thinking "huh, a Mason Raymond flyby, but Gauds didn't fall down, that is a big deal right there, along with his very well rounded skillset. Happy to have him going forward. I got lucky in that Coburn cleared waivers, as I had some interest in him almost as soon as he was waived. More at 11. haha With the new paperwork processes introduced last week in the front offices at Madison Square Garden, we found some clarity in our depth chart and needed to make some instant corrections. I want to thank these good folks for being a part of our story, and for putting in the work. Austin Wagner has been a constant on our club for some time now and moving him was the cost of doing business. Welcome Nick Cousins to the active lineup and Yegor Rykov to the Lakers. Excited to add to the prospect pool, really happy to add to the Defense side of the Lakers squad. Caught a little off guard with Austin being claimed. We felt we needed to move him down to the Lakers and he needed to pass waivers, with just 2 games this year, I honestly expected him to pass through. Good luck with Florida, and cheers to GM Ty Webb. A good little player you got there. I had been looking to see Justin's name in the IR mentions, but missed it. boo. Soon as I found out he has been on IR for some time, it was a no brainer to free up that roster slot while keeping Justin Bailey in our room. A great young talent we hope to see dazzle the staff in the back half of the year. A few more moves in the pipes, will all be addressed when they are announed, thank you @canuck2xtreme for doing the hard work on these moves today.

Exposable netminder Kasimir Kaskisuo has moved into the backup job in Nashville. He also happens to be otb, should any GM find themselves in need of an inexpensive tendie who could be re-upped to meet the expansion requirements. Fielding offers now. -
Tell us me more about this Russian bride of yours. SPeak into the lampshade please, we are having audio issues. Prodnosky.

You will regret that, I can hear Morse code, translate to alphanumeric, type and retransmit phrasing to English from Russian at 55 words a minute. Left over skills from a previous life. Di di duh di , di di duh, duh di duh di, duh di duh.

you can certainly fill a lot of cracks in, that is for sure. Are you set up to take a fax now in Seattle?

200 points is a lot to try to make up, but the Vancouver Canucks are eyeing exactly that, robbing the Sens of their fourth seed spot. Brian Dumoulin is healthy again and so is Even Rodrigues, joining newest addition Semyon Varlamov and the rest of your Vancouver Canucks. With luck we start to chip away at the sens 175 point lead today! I feel as though a strength I have is my drafting, time available to sort through mounds of data i guess is the reason, but what I gain from the drafts, I can now see easily on my new layout keeper sheet is that I almost always trade them away too soon. Noticed this a few years ago, but seeing it in a chart now drives it home. My goal is to try to have about 1/3rd of my active club home grown, if not more.

string theory and more importantly M theory allows that not only am I ready but I have already won it.
