Release: The New York Rangers seek to release Daniil Yurtaikin from his contract. He has signed with CSKA Moscow and already has games in the KHL this year. https://www.rotoworld.com/hockey/nhl/player/51651/danil-yurtaykin https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/265753/danil-yurtaikin *EDIT: we waived Abdelkader back on the 4th of Jan to send him down. I believe there wasn't room, this should clear the room to now move Justin down. FULL Rangers opening day roster to follow in a few hours.

Jimmy Vesey was fighting his way up the depth chart to areas that created new battles for him. When we got an offer that was reasonably hard to ignore, the tough decision had to be made a little early on him. Enjoyed him as a Ranger, always sad to see good talent go. This is a case of us going in a different direction is all. WIshing Jimmy all the best in Columbus. Thanks for a smooth negotiation as always.

Seeing as a medical emergency ruined my draft day in another league, I am not taking any chances, even though Vancouver has a battle going on for our one or two of our forward spots, the Official Team Lineup to start the season is ready to post now, and we can make the adjustment or two as we determine the hardest working Canuck in showbusiness in a day or two. WIthout further ado or hooplah, since the site is on and off and spotty right now, ladies and gentlemen and those yet to make up your minds, I give you the newly retooled Heavy D and teh boyz version of The Vancouver Canucks. SOrry its in plain black and white: but blame stealth and co for not paying the bill, not me. haha Vancouver Pickup Roster! Jason Robertson, Anze Kopitar, Denis Guryanov Alex Formenton, Mikael Backlund, Carl Soderberg Matt Martin, Brandon Sutter, Vince Hinostroza Sam Lafferty, David Kampf, Matt Calvert Brian Dumoulin, John Klingberg Ryan McDonagh, Justin Schultz Jeff Petry, John Marino Robert Hagg, Mark Pysyk David Rittich Adin Hill @Nail -

My mom explained the difference between new money and old money to me when I was i think 6 or 5 years old. I can easily sum up the well taught lesson in two pictures. Old Money: Total monetary worth: 8.75million New Money: Total Monetary worth: Bankrupt. *look after your pennies and the dollars will look after themselves.* -
I am almost sure most of the black suit wearing religios who knock on my door from time to time were in fact Radek Bonk.

i hate teams that tank. Disgusted by the lack of foresight. "Tank For Nail Yakupov" is a good example but also who was drafted before the twins in their year? exactly. haha. Tank for that guy? lol If fact, I would love to see the bottom three teams draft the last three picks before the playoff teams as a guaranteed placement, in reverse order of finish. THen the other non playoff teams stack up like normal for the draft lotto.

Assignment: The Vancouver Canucks Assign Logan Brown to the Utica Comets to facilitate an incoming trade. We are very high on Logan and expect that we will see him again on the main roster rather quickly. -

Vancouver still has 4 unsigned prospects, and before we focus on the big league season, I would like to take a moment to Highilght these kids, who are working hard to get here. Nathan Legare, 20: Already a point per game player in the Q, Nathan was traded for a return player and FIVE picks to league leading Val D'or Foreurs as they load up for a run to the Memorial Cup. He should be able to take advantage of this to greatly increase his production from the time at Bae-Comeau. the 2019 draft 53rd overall pick is certainly not disappointing our scouting staff. Shane Pinto, 20: Won the NCHC Rookie of the Year, within the NCAA system, in the covid shortened season. His transition to college from junior appears to have been very smooth indeed. That rookie season he put up 28 points in 33 games. Already this year he is got 13 points in 10. A good time to be had at the University of North Dakota. Our 60th overall pick in 2019 looks to be paying off in spades. Adam Beckman, 19: 48 goals and 59 assists in jjust 63 games in the covid shortened season has pushed Adam's ceiling even higher. we picked him 82nd overall and now we are thinking we may need to clear an eventual top line slot for the wunderkind. I can't wait to see what he does in the W with what is likely his final junior season. Wyatt Kaiser, 18: We drafted Wyatt at 100th this past draft, 2020, strait out of highschool. That means we need to be patient. That being said, the 18 year old blueliner has a solid 6 points in 12 games already in his rookie year at the NCAA level. Playing in the state of hockey, at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, will only improve the stock on this young man's profile. If we have to have a project in our prospect pipeline, I am glad he is it. All in all, its a nice feeling to know these good kids are the future of our franchise, and they each deserved one last look before we turn our focus on competing for post season selection in one of the toughest leagues in the world. -
FWIW, I like what you have done here thus far, but I really like what you haven't done more. I am glad you recognized the talent in the room for what it is worth in keeping. Good work, and happy GMing

Thank you for the work, Commish! These guys couldn't sit in my unsigned Prospect Column another moment. There is something there with each and every one of these guys, ironically, I am most excited about the guy i managed to pick at 48th overall, whew! Can you imagine... Toronto in the NHL actually picked Topi at 64th!! a steal, it seems. These three and Dennis Busby and Sampo Ranta will compete for NOT being ELC sliders. Will know very soon and make my declaration. -
bumping so i can get to it easy, thank you Rush17 this is the divisions for the year then.

It is more a case of "you MUST have a minimum number of forwards, Dmen and goalies as in the CBA, which I highly recommend you read strait through, word for word today, for the second or third time, and again in a week. After the fourth reading, most of the points stick. A caveat to 'calling up a bunch of plugs and non nhl system players' is that your GM tenure will likely be shortened dramatically if the situation becomes ongoing. We all have an onus to attempt to ice a team of up to 23 of the 1500 guys who have NHL jobs. at least, that is my perspective on it. -
MSG NEWS Camp Edition Strong indications Casey Mittelstaedt might make the opening night roster. We like what we have with this guy, it would be nice to realize his potential sooner than later! Similarily, Liam Foudy is standing out early in camp, and while it may be a bit of wishful thinking, having these two in the room to start the year will be huge for the Rangers.
