    If Pearson is forced to end his career, (if he is open to it) Id like to see the Canucks make every effort to make him part of the organization in some capacity (if that interests him).

      that is what I heard also, not sure why Pearson would be upset with the canucks on this one. there are a lot of people that could be mad for one reason or another. Pearson would be ow on my list. wondering if I missed something

    I’m surprised we have not seen 2,3,4 excellent players sign for 1 year on the same team at a lower amount to win a cup. Imagine couple superstar Dmen in Edmonton signing around 1M for a season & a goalie.

      but IDK, I htink a lot is made about players wanting to play together, like HOrvat and Domi cuz they were on a junior team, or brothers

      I know hockey is a team game, but most player seem to be best friends with the benjamin$

      speaking of LITR,

      LITR should be based on man power, not cap

      $3.5M Michael Ferland, should get you $1M in LITR

      also, the cap should count in the playoffs

      Kucherov takes the year off at $9.5M, replace him with a $1M player

       

      LITR is as bad a loop hole as was the Luongo etc contracts

      VH, it's interesting that that happened in year one of the cap. And Kariya and Selanne played down to their cap hit, 33-+ 36 points on the season. Its like they got paid like 3rd liners and the got played like 3rd liners. I think they lost respect from their team mates, I remember a program that was The  Avs and Their Rides, some grinder like Worrell or Cummins was mocking Kariya for driving a Lexus.

      The NHL is a funny place, the whole PA is happy for McD and Matthews to make $11M even though it reduces their ability to get a decent contract. On the other hand they look down on Selanne and Kariya, because they are taking away a couple of 3rd line spots. 

      Its like "Its ok if you are a $6M player on the 1st or 2nd line, I will protect you for $1M, but don't take my 3rd-4th line spot in the line up"

    Dan Murphy is actually trying to compare the Horvat trade to the Linden trade to the Islanders when the Canucks got Bertuzzi & Mccabe. Totally ridiculous. Bertuzzi & Mccabe were already established players.

    Remember when people thought Jason Dickinson and tyler motte was devolping into really good players? Jason has 3 points in his last 25 games and 0 points in his last 17 games.

     

    Motte has 2 points in his last 24 games and of course is injured.

    what does each center, petey, horvat and miller need in their winger's skills that enable them to be the most successful. JR said that this team has the wrong mix of players. are the wingers we have hindering the center's play?

    Does anyone know how to remove the clock on the stove/not make the time show? When I look at the clock, it makes me focused on time and I’m trying to get away from that.  I’ve pressed “clock” and nothing happens after that.

      speaking of which, I am outside working on projects in the dark

      I will admit that I have a hoodie on, but it is still mild and warm out:bigblush:

       

      speaking of desserts, I made some pretty delish berry cups with grapes, raspberries (from my yard) and whipped coconut cream last night

      and on the subject of drinking, I was recently gifted a Soda Stream, which has already cut down my 2ltr bottle recycling... scotch and soda stream here I come!

       

      also hot Ovaltine

      and dance season just started

       

      I guess I am lucky, because I like the dark

      I thought Spokane and Juneau seem like a lot of travel for a short stay. I went camping about 40 minutes from where I live. the first 1/2 the week was me and family, fun and mayhem, the second 1/2 was me solo. the me solo was a really unexpected break. it was not really planned, it was just that everyone but me had to go back to work by Sunday night, and I thought what the heck, I'll just stay... totally glad I did. have fun and relax, what ever you do

      I went for a 2 hour swim last week, that was good

      the next day I went for a 4 hour walk down and up a little stream with water falls

      that was the best self care I have done in years

      I swam with a seal, but there was nobody near me in the creek

      (everyone else was at the beach)
