me tongue in cheek? I one post you call them "personalities talking $7-7.5" and 4 posts later you call them "crappy sports journalists" was one or both of those statements tongue in cheek maybe I should look to crappy sports personalities for a little consistancy

  6. think that is the singers mom with the camera?
  7. to me, its not whether they can do this fairly for the teams and players, its whether it is right. With 1/2 the world and 4/5 of the United States clamouring to get back to "The OLD Normal" Is the NHL helping the defeat of Corvid 19 by opening, or is it helping to prolong the pandemic? I chose to quote this because NY was hit hard, and now they are the first to allow sports teams to practice. Have they come out the other side of the 'curve'? Or are they just ingoring it because they want to get back to the "OLD normal'? There are countries with no reported cases, of course they don't test, or report. Does this help? Other than satifying their own greed and a few fans desire for distraction. does the resumtion of sport make a the corona situation better or worse?
  8. well, either you believe or you don't believe. If you don't believe, why social distance?
  9. your sig is awesome that kid... he is a social distance HERO!!!
  10. Does Sask. not have a Need Crisis line? That is a sad story, and I do not want to make excuses for the hospital, but burnout is also a factor That seem like a failure at triage

THis not so much Brackett as Benning. Brackett seem like he likes his job, wants to succced and grow in his job. Benning is starting to remind me of Pat Quinn when he was here. Quinn, if he was not the best coach ever in Vancouver was the best coach during his time here, better than Ley or Renney. But Pat wanted out of coaching and wanted to boot himself upstairs. The problem was every time he replaced himself as coach, the team faltered After Pat left Vancouver, he went on the be a successful coach in Toronto, where GM and President were never offered. Jim seems similar, itn that he does not seem to want to be GM, and would rather be scout. The question is will Gear/Wiesbrod fill his shoes adiquately, or will they do as Ley/Renney did when they replaced Quinn? The difference is Pat was moving up the food chain, while Jim wishes he could slide down. the problem is Jim probably does not want a pay/status cut
  14. dealing with kids and parents adds a whole other wrinkle there are and were many fluid changes right from day one into the future. You have to know that teachers and politicials do not get along, this is another example of politicians foisting there problems on teachers
  15. yes I know, the school staff are going to have to face the gammut of emotions whn those 2 groups and all the kids in the middle get back together I doubt my friend goes back as he has a immuno-compromized brother
  16. I was out with a 10 year old the other day, He won't pet dogs, ( he love dogs) because he is worried about Covid Some of the kids are already scared, as I am sure some want to take up guns and protest their American rights
  17. yes, I knew when I suggested it that you would not have enough staff. Juggling makes no sense, you (not you personally) put kids back in school, and give them a bunch of new rules, and you the teacher will not have a second to look at a distance kid. Grocery stores are likely the closest comparison, they have doormen, and cart cleaners that hey never had before, and tape arrows on the floor. You probably have 1 janitor, or is they a .5? you will need 1 per bathroom. It will be like travelling to Mexico. Hall monitors, door knob wipers, temperature takers.... I realize that it is a different Ministrey, but this sounds so far from Bonny's world I will go on FB later and check with my Principal friend and see what she thinks
  18. the jumping off a cliff answer is always used by those who have stopped thinking or have already lost an argument. that peeing with or without pants was a better analogy
  19. All good points what grade(s) do you teach? It sounds like Elementary. I would think you need different teachers for in class and distance. Other business' needed to increase staff and decrease productivity. Covid has made my work slower. I think it would be a ridiculous ask to expect one teacher to teach in class, (with all new rules) and distance. Now is the time for smaller class sizes Do you think the Minister has written off this year, and is using this return as a test run for next year? Ontario shut down schools yesterday, we might be farther ahead come September with the knowledge we learned with this return It does seem like a dice roll, however, using kids as guinnea pigs
  20. I guess I disagree I think we might get there in a couple of years, but I do not think we are close now Canucks have no playoff experience Markstrom is injured and has no playoff experience Manson does not solve our D problems, although I do like him, he is coming off a tough year. Maybe a good time to "buy low" Getz is 35 and coming off his longest layoff, and he is a big guy. he might have a real hard time next season, or he might just call it a day The same might be true of Edler Some guys will struggle coming out of the long break, and I think it will be the big old guys We still have Loui, Ferland, Roost, Sutter this seem like a move to be made in 2 or 3 years after we have some playoff experience, but Getz will likely be rertired by then and Manson might be Jordie Benn
  21. yes and as far as I can tell the Canucks have drafted 2 guys from the BCHL, no not Manson, Benn, Hull, Farraro, Fabro, but Chad Brownlee and Andrew Sarauer
