I am sensing some retoraclism, but since you asked traded for a 27 YO Bo Horvat hit in 2 1st in a year Vancouver went all in and didn't draft until the 4th rnd ( 1 of those guys is a 225# scorer)#2+7 in scoring traded 2 firsts for Schenn (the other Schenn) Paid large for Perron $4M(2018) Drafted 6'03" Pietrangelo 6 picks before CoHo ( and 2 after Doughty who'se numbers are almost identical) signed Bozak for large $5M (2018) drafted Vince Dunn 3 picks after the pick Jim traded for Sven ( but never mind cuz 2 nd picks never work out anyway) hit on #20 OA pick in 2017 (Petey's year) traded Ryan Reeves for a 6'03" C that scores like Brandon Sutter but costs less than Rooster brought home a 31 YO 236#er that scored 1 point less than Loui for only $1.75M Drafted a 6'06" 230# D after we drafted Gaunce and Mallet held on to Alex Steen for 10 years traded for a 6'04" JayBo six years earlier and pay him 10% less than dEdly and TyMy draft 6'04" 215# D, 17 picks after Nikky Jensen trade ian Cole for 6'04" 216# stay home D play #7 D 19 playoff games, (their lightest D @6'02" , 198#) replaced their 28 YO, 2 rnd goalie with a 26YO 3rd rnd pick with 1 game experience replace their head coach after 2.25 years with a coach with 2 years head and 13 years assistant /associate coach resume Keep their GM/Pres/Head Hockey Opps guy since mid Gillis era if you don't look at anything else, lookat the size of that D -

NO WAY! that was the feel goodest weekend ever! First there was the satisfaction of helping Bobby Ryan score a hattrick in his home return Then letting Martin Marinccin score his 5 career goal on a near breakaway, well actually the seas just parted biblically then Torts and the AHL Blue Jackets score a much needed comeback win. SUCH A NICE HELPFUL BUNCH ON BOYS we should be proud Its not every week that a team can beat the Bruins and Habs in back to back games and follow that up with losing to 2 AHL teams and a team that can't beat a zamboni driver. lets all talk about how much we hate the Leafs and Oilers cuz they suck -

the problem I see with this club is its insistance on waiting. First we had to wait for the Sedins to play 1300 games then for them to score1000 points we waited for Willie to run out his 3 year contract Bo was willing to wait 1 year after the Sedins retired to accept the C Coach waiting for the NHL to protect our players it is evident in the style of play when they constantly cycle back to the D or the D cycle back into their own zone We are now waiting for Brock as well Waiting for Loui's and other contracts to expire Maybe Goldy was never going to be good enough, but he got benched after scoring is first goal, Grao, Mac, Bailey All the Utica D come up and wait its not just the players, its the coach its not just the coach, its the players There is no urgency in this team, from top to bottom I think Petey and Miller are different, at least I hope they are, but the rest of the team (not sure 1 way or the other with Hughes) just seems willing to wait their turn. Back to your point, Bo was annointed future captain the day he was drafted, all he had to do was wait his turn. What this orginisation lacks is a group, not just one or two players (cuz Petey and Miller are not enough) that want to come in to the team and the league and take the C, the ring, the cup. LA had it with Doughty and Brown, when their time came Toffoli and Pearson didn't have the same drive. They should be leading LA right now, but they are not. I have to wonder if it comes down to Jim being able to find skill at the draft, but he is missing something with his character guys there is a long list of players that Canuck fans do not want near our young guys including McCann,(I include him because he was here) Brown, Marchant, Kane and Kane that have a brashness that is not welcome here. -

that is true I sometimes yell at my TV "_Jakeboy___________ (pick any player who has the puck or is on the ice) do something good" I don't care who it is, if they suit up I want them to play well and be rewarded but most often its Jakeboy who'se name I yell,, followed by Rooster and Louigi ps you know I like bugging you because you make me laugh and when Brock does something good, I think of you jumping up and down and strutting like a mamma hen -

and the same will be said about the 7th D and 13th forward edit which reminds me, the Roster chart shows Bailey, Graovac, MacEwen and Brisebois on the roster. Which of those guys are still with the club? -

that is why I think it should be Benning or Franco calling the skate. Imagine poor Ian Clark and manny out there bagskating with a vezina goalie and 3 of the top 5 faceoff guys in the league. Life just isn't fair sometimes -

yes i agree you do know that I was joking, and that is why I said its Optional. It is like the time out in the Montreal game, can't play that card 2 games in a row either. In reality I think Green is on pretty thin ice. He preaches a passive game, so a bag skate seem illogical from the outset. the team plays a pretty suspect system and Green is very slow to re-act. Over in the Fire Green thread he is listed as 3rd in coach of the year voting, ahead of the Blues, Avalanche and Bruins coaches That seem like a "scoreboard" trophy considering he has 2 Calder and 1 Vezina trophy candidte on his team -
ya, I always thought firing Sullivan was kind of a "baby out with the bathwater' type move I always liked Torts, although I understand why he was fired, But Sullivan had already been a head coach for 2 years before several years as assistant, and all he did was win the Cup the 2 seasons following his firing from Vancouver

Not so. I dis-agree with you on your unvavering support of Brock over all others but I also agree with you on other points sometimes. Why just last week I gave you a Huggy Bear. INJURIES do not equate to fault. I remember when Brock flew into the open door, I probably was not the only one who thought it very well could have been a career ending injury. It turns out it was not career ending, but may well have been career threatening or career limiting. Brock also has a wrist injury, I do not reall when that happened, but it did. I see no reason to lay blame for that either, it just is. Brock has been unlucky in his hockey career . You say you are not down on Miller, but your earlier statement sure sounded like you were. Iam not sure what it is you want me to READ AND COMPREHEND, everything I have read from you regarding Brock Boeser leads me to believe you have rose coloured glass' where he is concerned. -
