  1. Hits are probably the most unreliable stat for discerning toughness. Probably worse than +/- as a useful stat. At least +/- isn't subject to the whims of each buildings stats guy. Using TSN stats, top ten include Del Z, Lucic. Reeves, T. Wilson and Zadorov. Who would you most rather line up against in a tough 7 game series? I'm guessing 99% of the world would pick Del Z. Numbers 41-50 goes from C. Miller > J Virtanen, I'm thinking Virtanen inflicts more pain with his 156 hits than does Miller with 165. Just a hunch. Further down the list from 341-350 (mid league) is T. Myers, S. Weber, M Hanzel and M. Grabner. Grabner had the most hits but Canuck fans know all too well what M. Hanzel can do in one shift. Hey Brock Boesser out hit Connor McD by one hit. That hit cost Brock 1/3 of the season. Watching Jake hit is awesome and will likely be better next year. If he adds 100 hits he'd rank 2nd in the league. Meanwhile Biega/Motte/Archi barely combined to play 1 full season in a Canuck jersey. There are glass hitters and freight train hitters. Not all hits are created equal and not all hits are counted equally.
  2. How has Columbus not clinched? 6 points up on FLA, Fla has 3 games left Columbus has 45 wins Fla has 41 wins I don't see how Columbus loses out on a separate note Colorado plays STL in their final game to decide the last playoff spot shoud be a gooder
  3. I think you are probably correct. I wouldn't bet the farm on either one. The cowlick is more common in picks of Berehowsky.
  4. I thought of berehowsky but the eyes made me pick Lachance
  5. is that Canucks Corner or Canuck Scorner ?
  6. He anchored the 4th line in the early 90s but will always be remembered for talking in Matts Sindin's ear while Sundin rolls his eyes. Classic coaching moment
  7. Much like the waiver argument, bottom feeder teams don't often "package" players in trades. You see CBJ packaged Motte and Jokenin to Vancouver, Goldy was packaged with a pick to Vancouver. There is not going to be much of a market for players unable to crack teh Canuck roster. I suppose we could hope for another Pouliot Deal
  8. I would consider then in the same boat. And if Goldy does not progress past Boucher it would be no loss to lose him via waivers. Just another prospect Canuck fans got too high on. I don't see NJ or Nashville missing Boucher. Maybe just another Russia who plays his last NHL game as a Canuck I wish Green would put Gagner between Goldy and Boucher though. The play seems to die on Dowd's stick.
  9. Can you name the last player selected off waivers from the last place team?
