  1. I'm wondering about the train. Some poor bugger with a power washer and an antique spanner shoveling coal into a 100 year old steam engine
  2. you crazy bugger, you are from the island? I best be looking over my shoulder
  3. Kadri, Miller? as always its the middle/ lower middle class that gets bumped no different than the real world I have never understood why the foot soldiers support hi pay for the few you have to think if you are any 4line player you are never signing an $8+M contract
  4. I guess, I'm usually on that stuff very sly sarcasm... nice work
  5. I was stoked to see Korab and Dailey play together THe Canuck version of twin towers but I think Korab asked to be traded as soon as he got here before the WHA amalgamation Vancouver was the outback of the NHL like Winnipeg and Edmonton are now sad but true
  6. Someone always has to say stuff like that but Luongo never went on IR Bergeron centered the Bruins top line Pavelski lead the Stars in points at 38 Thronton scored an equal 81 points and lead the Sharks at 36 Marleau scored 27 at 37 Not every play plays til 40 but neither do they all disappear at 34
  7. I quoted Guerin? I think you have me mixed up with MLL or NNQ or somebody I remember saying that I never wanted to see them live, cuz ther so boring Then ended out taking my kids to a Wild game. Matt Cooke scored before we got to our seats I did mention that I liked how big the 4th line is once last year, maybe you took that and let your imagination run with it. I have been a Canuck fan since about the time they claimed Jim Mair off waivers from the hapless inaugural Isles that was between the Don Lever draft and the Ververgeart, Dailey (ooh wow 2 first round picks, I had so much hope back then) and Bourdeleau draft the first trade I remember was the Talon for Smith and Korab deal, I loved Gary Smith, he is probably the reason I play goal And then they traded my other favorite Bobby Schmautz for a package that included Fred O'Donnell, I hated that guy with a passion that rivals Apollo or Alf or Hef Since then I have just turned into a regular cynic, but they are still my only team
  8. its better than Edmonton/Toronto, I get a lot of that one point for originality edit, haha I just realized I gave you a loser point
  9. most of these guys end up dead though the Port Alberni guys the Saanich bank robber.. The Manatoba Bus guy has been released though, I found that hard to fathom
  10. and Colo just won a up, ergot... only great things ahead for the Oily Boyz
  11. I do have a weird sense of humour I just stubbled upon GG Allen yesterday, (via Carmelita...Warren Zevon, to GG covering ) I laughed my shorts off at some of his Shizzizzle I thought Naked Kesler was funny too when I think of Kes and Burr, I think of "Say hi to Kelly" they were thick as thieves on that one back to Miller, I am happy about Miller being back
  12. that was a joke... but thanks for playing along do you feel the same way about Burrows?
  13. I am hoping that these two will work well in tandem Bo is kind of a Sedin type leader but when we were good we had the Sedins and Bieksa, Burrows and Kesler Remember when we all loved Naked Kesler? I think Miller will lead like Bieksa funny at times, super serious at times when it is needed
  14. you have no proof , just your speculation I already said it happened with Hamhius also Tavares remember thinking Lucic was going to sign here, and he went to Edmonton, which caused the LE debacle that is what happens when the guy doesn't come, a bad case of second best I could see Mathews going to the Rangers, more likely but either way, is that how you build a winning team?
  15. How often does that actually work? maybe Philly or Columbus were waiting for Miller It worked when Hamhius basically said "I am signing in Vancouver" but that is about a 1/1000 time thing talking to Severson would be tampering
  16. I am not saying 'The end justifies the means" What I am saying is that a "Class Organization" does not sweep things under the rug and a "Character Organization" steps up and steps in when their players need it. NJ went to the wall with Ken Danyko and he later won cups with them, he was /is an alcoholic Brian Burke was not all class all the time, but I admired the way he stood with Bertuzzi I never felt the Canucks did enough for Rick Rypien or Zack Kassian As mentioned, the "Back injury" was a phoney cover up
  17. I agree I don't believe the canucks should have kept every weirdo they ever had, but they have never shown the ability to stand with their players since Aqua took over. There was a poster on here pre draft that had a sig, something like "Anybody but Virtanen" I guess he was right there were plenty of reasons to get rid of Jake, (or apparently, not draft him in the first place) choosing this reason just reeked of knee-jerk image cleansing
