  1. whao you had me going there I thought we signed him
  2. that is a great idea might need to be a bit longer (didn't Sid and Mario miss more than a year?) Now lets look for loopholes this would cause, because the NHL is famous for band-aid solutions that cause more problems But overall I like it It would look good on all those teams who skipped out on the recapture penalty they could and should put a ban on trading injured players
  3. funny that you think I am attacking the new regime Did I call them pathetic? Or unbearable? @johngould21 and why are we bringing @johngould21 into this, because you can't win an argument and need back up ? Because big bad @LMM is too much for you to handle on your own? See what I did there? I called myself in for back up, just in case the two of you are too much for one of me anyway, this is getting off topic, so how about we revisit this situation when this player has played his 100th NHL game
  4. ' ' .Hey folks, my apologies if I have made you CDC experience unpleasant I hope this cartoon cheers you up . Re Benning, I didn't just decide one day that bashing him was the way I wanted to go I gave him a couple of years, I was on board with the Kesler trade, not so much for the return, but it seemed to show decisiveness He started to lose me with the trading of 2nd round picks though and I was not thrilled with the Kassian debacle, If the GM is going to talk about character, I will hold him to a pretty high standard. I feel Benning failed Kassian, the Canucks and the fans on this one. Many fans believe Benning was forced to take the job, and forced to make shady moves (like pretend Kassian had back problems) to keep the job, but that is not how I feel a man of character acts. The new regime has stated they want to make the team bigger, faster, meaner, and so far I have not seen any of that. I am willing to give them more time, but not likely as long as some fans and certainly not as long as Benning got from some on this board. If you are scoring at home, its +1 for moving Hamonic and +/- 0 on the rest of the moves until the pieces show positive or negative value And yes, I often feel like one of the characters in the cartoon
  5. on a positive note It doesn't cost us the second it just kind of a gift from the NHL to the team that drafted him I just see another undersized D-man maybe that is why we have such injury issues Tyler Myers has missed one game in 3 years with the Canucks and he is big, coincidence ?
  6. When I look at how close the Rangers were this year I can't see them wanting to give up the players Canuck fans think they will get back in a Miller deal If I was the ranger GM I'd be willing to wait a year or 3 for this team (most of it) to mature
  7. where do you get your information on that assessment? the level of "Hate" some of you fans think is necessary to be a "Strong Fan" or "True Fan " I find laughable and sad Who says hate is necessary to be a sports fan? Hate is a debilitating ailment of the soul, but it is bandied around here as the number one ingredient of strong/true fandom
  8. I have to ask this now, are the Canucks going to become the dumping ground for all Swedish mis-fires and blown picks? Has Alvin signed a non-Swede yet?
  9. remember the Pat White and Rahimi to San Jose for Erhoff and Lukowich Pat White was a Nonis / Canuck 1st round pick San Jose did not sign White, took the pick even though it was a Canuck first rounder and not their own
  10. Bieksa suits up for the first game plays one shift then retires
  11. So what you are saying is, "how do you tell a true Canuck fan?" A true Canuck fan must live a life full of hatred I ain't got time for that It seems that Ranger fan was right
  12. But Tampa did have a playoff hangover some hangovers last til noon, while other last for 2 days Wasn't Kutch drinking light beer? they came in 3rd in their division it was a nooner, then back to business
  13. you are living in the past, the deep past you should try living in the present the Rangers executed a clinical retool we could only watch and admire
  14. ah hah I got it thanks
  15. thanks how do you separate the canucks from the rest of the league?
  16. that was a great interview Up there with Kucherov and his beers last season
  17. you must be happy all the time
  18. I am not so sure that they are slow, as soon as a player is no longer on the roster ( Pods was sent to Abby after the last game) they no longer have stats someone is confusing roster with stats Kind of funny that Tucker Poolman played one game and 4:25 of ice time after Jan 27 but his stats are up because he is injured yet Pods played the final NHL game of the season, but his stats are erased because he was sent to Abby for 2 playoff games Hockey DB lists all the players that played but not Ice time or game logs
  19. posting here because it says database in the title Anyone else wonder why the CDC Stats page does not include all players and points through out the off season? It is after all not the "Roster' page, there is another page for that. So, Vasili Podkolzin is off the stats page because he was sent down to Abby after the Canuck season ended If you want to know about stats for players not on the final roster, you need go to another website Come On CDC webmeisters, up your game
