I agree the New NHL has become a bigger mans game i mean even Jordan Schroeder gets knocked around like a doll by bigger stronger nhl players he has got speed and agilitly but really when he is fighting for the puck in the corners he doesn't do well no thank you no more small players.

I am very sure we have been doing just that picking the best skilled player available, but seriously hows that working for us. We need to pick players that meet our needs.

Like defend the lead and score goals. Let me ask you something how many times have you thought the game was done and loungo lets in a bad goal that ties the game at 1.3 or so seconds left in the third. I have seen alot how many times do you think that pisses me off seeing a goalie crap the bed with seconds left too win the game.

Really your going to blame gillis for this teams lazzy play of late, give me a break. Its not gillis fault. Its the team on the ice, blame them have you seriously been watching the games. No hussle, no support, poor positioning, taking stupid penalties. I could go on and on but why bore you with truth. Like a good general Torts can only give them so much its up too them to play the game not skate around like a bunch of fairy god mothers. It clearly is positional play period and not sticking too the system.

Just think what if Kelser does go in the off season, what if a deal is made for a higher draft pick it could be a total retooling of the team. I have always said the canucks need to get younger and bigger. Especially if they want too play against the bigger teams in the new alignment. Its not rocket science but simple. I think we have done alright in the drafts, but we need too think on the bigger scale now.

they said they wanted to get bigger, younger and stronger. I like Nick Ritchie and Jake Virtanen, even if Nick Ritchie is a power forward I remember hearing someone say powerfowards are a rare breed and hard to find.

It seems he is waiting to pick the scraps left over by other teams, which IMO is not moving forward, and is not making a push to improve this team. I will give him the shadow of a doubt, but if he doesn't make any noise on july 1 or this friday at the draft then yes I say it will be the same old system. This team doesn't need anymore offense they need defense, and they need it bad. Brian Burke used too sing that same old song and dance. I would expect Gillis to shake things up and play a different tune, and yes we have great defensemen coming up from Manitoba, but the few we have aren't NHL ready. So I say to you Mike Gillis, put up or shut up, get it done. Actions speak louder then words. You have had two years now and you said your objective was to bring the cup to Vancouver in your 5 year stint well you only have three left and time is running out.

Hey Kesler congradulations on your new addition too the family. We all hurt for the short season but I am sure next year will be better. Thanks for some great memories and a great season all the best too you and your family. Go Canucks Go, Canuck fan forever.
