  1. Nothing makes me simultaneously shake my head and laugh harder than musicians who’ve been multi-millionaires for 2 decades, sing and make a video about “I relate to those in poverty and broken homes. I mean, it’s been over 20 years since I was a child in Canada, but I feels ya!”
  2. When I saw it, I didn’t bother reading beyond David Perron.
  3. Glad to have Connor on board. Announcement of contract shortly.
  4. Anyone with cap problems that has a player with one year remaining, reach out to the Isles.
  5. Joel Armia OTB. If looking for a young 3rd liner who’s locked up long term, and feel like you won’t get your guy in free agency, reach out.
  6. CDC about to talk about Canucks cap recapture. Sane people:
  7. For UFAs, yes. I create a SS with all offers from all GMs and players and set a filter to it. And searching and responding for those offers makes it easier if one per PM. This has been said in the past, but this year it will be enforced. If GMs send multiple UFA offers in one PM, they will not be responded to. Far too difficult to organize. Thanks guys!
  8. Further to this. Please read. As in previous seasons, as I get every PM through email as well, ALL offers will be seen. However, not all offers will be responded to. This doesn’t have to do with said player not appreciating the AAV or term, but he may have another team, postion/line on team, or Conference he wants to play on. For example, if a player has 15 teams inquiring his services, he may end up responding to 5-10 and then go from there. As in the previous years, in order to keep the signings realistic compared to real life free agency, the big names will be signed by July 1st or 2nd. Neither myself or Nail want to leave guys hanging weeks or, in some cases, 2 months, before a player makes a decision. The only time a player may take a few weeks is if they haven’t received any offers, or if he has received one offer, but feels he’s still worth $5M. Bottom 6 players likely won’t wait 3 weeks after if clubs have tabled their offers, as guys do want to go be comfortable knowing they’ll play.
  9. Wasn’t sure what gif to use for “Good standing” contract signings, so I’ll post a couple:
  10. You can send your own RFAs into myself and Nail in one PM.
  11. I’ve watched their review a few times. It was more a “If you’ve seen the rest of them, why not.” They also didn’t like Fan-4-stick. Watched that review recently again, and it was a mess. Parts of it were good, but those parts were clearly where Josh Trank (director) was able to do a more dark tone, where it actually came across more like a horror film. But then the reshoots came in, and the movie was turned into an absolute mess. I’ve never seen them as Marvel Fanboys at all. More, as long as the movies are enjoyable and not formulaic. Captain Marvel looked really boring. Like you said, bad I can take, as it’s always fun to laugh at a movie. But boring is much, much worse. To me, I actually “like” the Star Wars prequels, because they are so bad. Whereas, I can’t sit through The Force Awakens. It’s super boring and terrible.
  12. The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed the following players: Nate Schmidt: $6.75M x 7 (Full NMC first 3 years, 16 team modified NTC last 4 years) Reilly Smith: $6.5M x 5 (Full NTC first 2 years, 16 team no trade list last 3) Mikhail Sergachev: $5.75M x 3 Adam Erne: $2.25M x 2 Adam Lowry: $3M x 2 @D-Money @Nail
  13. Carolina Hurricanes IRL 2016 first round pick, Julien Gauthier, who just finished his second AHL season and was the second leading goal scorer and third in PIMs looks likely to be traded tonight. If interested, reach out ASAP. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=169587
  14. Not at $6.5M-$7.5M. That’s not “serviceable”.
  15. And he would need to get A LOT better defensively. Let other teams fall on that grenade.
  16. The Columbus Blue Jackets have extended the following players: Joonas Donskoi: $3.25M x 3 Daniel Carr: $850k x 2 Tim Heed: $1.1M x 2 Brendan Dillon: $3.5M x 3 @winterhawks @Nail
  17. Thanks to @Dabeast for the quick and smooth negotiations. Certainly took a bit of a hit on this one. Faksa is still young, and is good for 30ish points. However, I’ve got some Dallas players that are pushing for a spot next year (L’Esperance) and perhaps Felhaber, so opening up a spot so I’m not so Dallas heavy was important to me. I also like Korshkov, and with the Leafs salary woes IRL, definitely possible he could see time next year. And expansion ineligible.
  18. The New York Islanders have made another trade to free up a roster spot and salary.
  19. At least they no longer have Mitchell. What a bum!
