  1. No, not even remotely close. Edmonton has McDavid, Draistail, and Nurse. That’s all. No scoring. No depth defence. Horrific goaltender. Toronto has: Matthews Tavares Kadri Marner Johnsson Kapanen Hyman Brown Rielly Dermott Muzzin Andersen They’ve also got decent prospects in the system in Sandin, Bracco, Woll, Brooks, Liljegren, Rosen, Scott, and Hollowell. None are considered “elite”, but all are solid prospects. The Oilers are downright abysmal.
  2. Typically “try” to stay out of fantasy threads I’m not apart of. But frickin LOVE Norlinder. Dude can skate. Doesn’t matter he was second year eligible and passed over last year in the NHL draft. You can’t teach an average skater at 18 years old to improve to where Norlinder is at 19 years old.
  3. The New York Islanders Pre-Free Agency Roster Artemi Panarin - Nazem Kadri - Jakub Voracek Andreas Johnsson - Jesperi Kotkaniemi- Patrik Laine Zach Aston Reese - Lars Eller - Joel Armia Brendan Lemieux - Radek Faksa - Alex Barre Boulet Keith Yandle - Matt Dumba Ryan Pulock - Dustin Byfuglien Alec Martinez - Rasmus Andersson Radim Simek Carter Hart Casey DeSmith CAP HIT: $79.325 CAP SPACE: $2.175 The bolded players are available. The Islanders are no longer above the cap, so movement is not necessary to ice a full roster; more to shake up the roster a bit. Now that I am under the cap and have a bit of money to play with, I will be going after a depth forward or defenseman.
  4. Thought for sure they would have traded him at the draft for a 2nd. Looks like they really will have to give him away, when all is said and done. Better to get something back in return, than him go back to Europe. Swallow your pride and just do it already, Holland.
  5. Minnesota Wild Draft Recap: @D-Money #6 Alex Turcotte - #5 to LA #21 Ryan Suzuki - #28 to Carolina #28 Nils Hoglander - #40 to Vancouver #35 Patrik Puistola - #73 to Carolina #51 John Beecher - #30 to Boston #61 Dillon Hamaliuk - #55 to San Jose #66 Mattias Norlinder - #64 to Montreal #97 Matias Maccelli - #98 to Arizona Again, this draft was all on me. Happy with all our picks, as we got players that I targeted. Beecher is a personal fav of mine. Happy with the team he went to as well. Is going to destroy in Boston. Carolina had a terrific draft, and they’re good at scouting, so happy with them getting Suzuki and Puistola. Nils Hoglander to the Canucks. Fielding offers.
  6. Thanks to @Bombastik der Teutone for quick negotiations. Love Frolik IRL. Can play up and down the lineup and is a consistent 30-40 point player. Unfortunately, due to the cap now at $81.5M (which is still very high), I was in a bind.
  7. I’m hesitant to take on AGMs. But @Boeserific, you are always welcome, if you ever want to be involved in a passive role. I’ve got some quality US players in my system
  8. Frolik has been traded. Others are still available, but not as pressing, as I’m now under the new cap. If looking for a Montreal, Dallas, or Capital, reach out!
  9. Islanders Movement Pending trade call Recall: Casey DeSmith and Alex Barre-Boulet @Nail
  10. Aside from the previously drafted players IRL that I selected, here’s the results for me: Patrik Puistola 31st: Carolina Hurricanes at 73rd Michal Teply 52nd: Chicago at 105th Domenick Fensore 71st: Carolina at 90th Mattias Norlinder at 76th: Montreal at 64th Boof. Aside from Norlinder, all dropped. Although, Fensore isn’t that bad. Really sh*t the bed on Puistola and Teply, though. Like the players a lot, which is why I picked them, but jeez. This was my worst year in regards to where I picked them and where they actually went.
  11. What is going on with me and Canes players I end up drafting or getting? Patrik Puistola Domenick Fensore Luke Henman Julien Gauthier Jeez.
  12. @Nail While I’d like to keep him, Korenar is still on my team sheet.
  13. Puistola to the Hurricanes. Even though I drafted him at 31 and he went at 73, he at least went to a good team.
  14. Jeez. Not only does Norlinder go before Puistola, but to the Habs! What is it with me drafting Montreal players?
  15. Expected Puistola to not go at 31 where I took him, but still on the board at 62? Oh well, I feel a little better knowing that Albin Grewe is not only still on the board, but that @theminister selected him
  16. Do people here not realize that if a team were to draft a player in the first round, if they were to turn out being a 50 point player, that’s an absolute win? Jeez. JT Miller is worth a conditional first. He’s in his prime right now, people.
  17. Doing well with the draft so far. Also, we got Nils Hoglander. New Canuck. So PM me and @D-Money with an offer for him.
