  1. This house is literally blocks from my place haha. I’ll keep looking.
  2. The Saint So, I remember somewhat enjoying this when I was 15. Now at 36, it’s amazing how hilariously bad it is. Cop: These aren’t different men, Dr. Russell. These are all the same villain. When in everyday life do cops (or anyone) refer to criminals as “villains”? Immediately my wife looked at me, laughing, and said “Are we watching a Marvel film?”
  3. O Brother, Where Art Thou soundtrack. Still my favourite album after all these years. Sing these three songs to my daughter every night when she’s in bed:
  4. Not bad. Still double my mortgage. Doable, for sure.
  5. We currently have 4 bedrooms and an office (office is as big as the bedroom, so I guess 5 bedrooms). Realistically, we could get away with 3 (kids would have to share a room when visitors come). That said, the spare bedroom in our basement we just renovated also doubles as the kids playroom. So yeah, condo life isn’t really an option. Once you get used to property size (half an acre), and love the yard work that comes with that, as well as the house, then it’s tough to downgrade. Especially when it’s ridiculously affordable. I also work from home, so working/living in a home that fits that is pretty key. I also like the idea of traveling and disposable income. We go out to BC at least once a year for 1-2 weeks. So I get the best of both.
  6. I guess it’s Manitoba life for me until death. How exciting
  7. My wife and I have always thought, “Maybe someday we’ll move back to BC.” Haven’t checked the prices of Squamish in years. This came up and I laughed. Roughly same size as the upstairs as my house, but this has no basement (so house is smaller). Property is smaller, and house is 33 years older than mine. Boof. Considering my mortgage is now $1100/month (was $800 but we did renos), I think I’m good. Maybe in another life
  8. This whole thing, again. You like BC and can stomach the cost? Great. You can’t stomach the cost and found out that other places in the world have there own benefits and beauty, and don’t break the bank? Great. Neither side is wrong. If people can afford BC and live comfortably, terrific. If you are living pay check to pay check, are in debt, but still like living in BC? That’s also terrific.
  9. The Mule Wife and I watched it last night. Just “ok”. It’s a movie I’d recommend to dads and moms. Predictable from the jump. But enjoyable, enough.
  10. If I do, it honestly won't be until it's on Netflix. And when I'm feeling suicidal.
  11. Finished reading The Snowman. Time to watch the movie
  12. But not fantastic enough for the Senators to extend him over Redden.
  13. The Vancouver Canucks have signed the following players to ELCs, starting next season: Jason Robertson: $885k x 3 Nate Schnarr: $685k x 3 Ian Scott: $685k x 3 @Primal Optimist @Nail
  14. Movement: Assign: Casey DeSmith to the AHL. Recall: Carter Hart. @Nail
  15. I am, yeah She asked today after the lunges, “How do you feel?” I said, after pausing for a bit, “I was trying to think of an excuse as to why I’m out of breath. But the simple fact is, I’m fat.”
  16. I think in the past, it would have been difficult to stay positive and motivated. However, my goal isn’t to look better or lose weight. I know that stuff will happen. My motivation is that I just want to feel better consistently, have more energy, and keep up with my daughter and my new kid on the way. I know that staying fit and eating healthy will do that. Not looking to workout for 3 months and then stop. I want to get into a rhythm so I’ll still be doing it in 10 years, which is what I told my trainer. While it’ll cost an extra $500+, I’m extending my sessions, as I need someone with me for the first several months to keep me focused and accountable.
  17. In all my years, whenever I’ve gone on a workout kick, it’s always been straight cardio. Now, nearing my 37th year on Earth, and with the disposable income to do so, I’ve hired a personal trainer and started circuit training. Very excited with some of the results so far. Already wondering how I’ll feel both physically and mentally, as well as how I’ll look in 6 months time. Even 3 months time. I’m 5’11” and 187lbs, so it’s not as if I’m a bump on a log, but I definitely have a lot of work to do to change my overall health and fitness levels.
  18. ANNOUNCEMENT After doing some digging, it appears as though one of the GM’s in our league has recruited several of his friends to join the league, who then joined to only make lopsided trades with said GM, and no other team. No other trades were done by these GMs who joined. While all share the same IP address, we cannot confirm nor deny if these 4 accounts are one GM, or if they are his friends. Because we (mod team) can only assume it’s the latter, that is not a banworthy offence. However, asking friends to join, them never posting, and these GMs only making trades with this one person, is incredibly disappointing and calls the integrity of the entire league into question. Due to the amount of turnover in the league as well, it’s entirely possible this is a problem that has occurred before, not just one that’s happened in the last 2 months, which is already bad enough. Asking friends to join the league so you can have a better fantasy team is pathetic, at best. Sad at worst. Because of this, effective immediately, I will be stepping down as the GM of the Chicago Blackhawks.
  19. Thing is, I expect to lose in the first round
  20. BREAKING NEWS Massive update coming out of Chicago that will rock the league. STAY TUNED SHORTLY FOR MORE DETAILS.
  21. You Netflix series. Don’t want to give away anything. Thriller show. Worth watching. Main actor is great.
  22. Thankfully because of Buzzfeed, we can now be taught the proper way, while also seeing if our cat is a wizard
  23. He didn’t say that. What he’s saying is, because Buzzfeed isn’t known for being a reputable news source on any front (left or right), but instead known for producing click bait garbage, their credibility comes into question. Could this article be true? Absolutely. But because Buzzfeed isn’t known for ever being anything more than “You’re cleaning your penis wrong” articles, one can be forgiven for saying they don’t have credibility. Sure.
