  1. I watched part of the first season years ago and just couldn’t finish it, even though I was close.
  2. Absolutely. While it certainly was a double shot to the mother, you’re right. Explains why he was abandoned.
  3. Been rocking Star Wars Battlefront 2 for almost a year and a half, now. The fact that, after an incredibly rocky start, the team has turned it around and added more to the game and on a consistent basis, has added to the shelf life. The most recent add (Anakin Skywalker) a few weeks ago was much needed to balance out the heroes/villains, as well. Since the beginning, the villains had an advantage, and when in Galatic Assault, if you had 2-3 villains who knew what they were doing, the other side would lose, and pretty handily, as the villains were far more powerful. Anakin alone can change the coarse of a game, which is how it should as well. Long (nerdy) story short, still getting mileage out of BF2. Had I spent $200 on the game, I would have got my money’s worth. This was a no brainer for me.
  4. Agent Reminder: No College or European Free Agent will sign until July 1st.
  5. Golden Knights prospect Ben Jones, 98 points in 65 games (40 goals) available for a pick.
  6. Made Pad Thai again last night. Quick, easy, tasty. I’ve always mixed in quite a bit of Oyster Sauce. Otherwise, I feel like it’s pretty bland. Sriracha is good too, but not everyone likes a little kick. But I do feel the Oyster Sauce is necessary.
  7. Update: For those that may or may not know, I had a colleague on the recent Ethiopian flight ET302 that crashed yesterday. Continue to PM (or bump) extensions to myself and copy @Nail in them. He and I will discuss via discord, and over the next few months (depending on the player), players will be taken care of. Over the next little while, chances are Nail will be posting after we discuss, as my work has been crazy lately, and will only intensify after the recent news of the crash.
  8. Want to know how tuned out of it I’ve been? Didn’t even know until right now that Roger’s Hometown Hockey was in my town today. Blame it on me being away for 2 weeks out of the last month.
  9. You Were Never Really Here Joaquin Phoenix has really shown throughout the years that he’s one of the most talented actors around. Guy really has range. Rough thriller movie about a hired gun who finds young girls who have been used for trafficking and “making them boys pay.” Phoenix’s character is more than just your usual anti-hero, though, as he has his own trauma as a child and from his time in the military, which is barely shown in flashbacks, and mostly seen as the toll it has taken on him as an adult. Great movie.
  10. Movement: Assign: Joel L’Esperance to the AHL. Activate: Nazem Kadri off IR and place on active roster. @Nail
  11. Carolina OTB Michael Frolik Can go to 20 teams. Pick(s) or prospect in return. Trade can be agreed upon now and posted after teams involved are officially eliminated from the playoffs. Will move out today to first fair offer.
  12. Movement: Placement: Radek Faksa to IR. Recall: Joel L’Esperance and place on active roster. @Nail
  13. Carolina Hurricanes What a rough month this has been. Held a very comfortable lead on the first wildcard spot for a long time. But, team injuries have finally caught up: - Dumba - Buff - Letang - Kadri - Voracek - Faksa Aside from Faksa, those are some major contributors.
  14. Thank you to everyone who's submitted a response so far. We currently have 24 responses, but I will keep this open for a bit longer, so if you are someone who hasn't had the time to do this yet, please do so! Want to thank Nail for not only taking the time to do this, but for opening up the current and future structure of the league to be influenced by those of us who’ve committed years to it. When you’ve had a league with both the longevity and the commitment from largely the same group of GMs as ours, questionnaires like this can be done, as the turnover is very low. Giving up influence on the structure, as Nail has done, takes a lot of faith on his part. We have a terrific group, here. And the fact that 24 GMs have already responded in 4 days is remarkable.
  15. Carolina Hurricanes Shakeups look to be happening. One player looks be on the move soon, with two Western teams looking to make a splash in advance of the draft. Kris Letang’s name has also come up, and the defenseman also looks like he will find a new home before the draft, as well. Letang carries an extremely cap friendly contract, with an AAV of $3.125M for another 3 seasons. Incredibly great contract for one of the top pool point producing defensemen.
  16. I watched roughly the first 15 minutes and turned it off. “Remember Queen? Remember their songs? Because, remember?”
  17. Haven’t watched it, yet. Will get around to it when I’m in the mood to watch some hot “woman on fish” action.
  18. I was on the plane back from India, absolutely losing it. Thankfully, everyone was asleep, as was my boss beside me.
  19. Currently sitting in the airport as I head out again. This time to Toronto. As a few others have mentioned in talks for their teams, I am also looking to make moves before the draft and free agency. I have on trade that’s already been completed, but won’t be announced until later (as per rules). Only players 100% off limits at this point are Laine, Panarin, Hart, Pulock, and Kotkaniemi. Ukko-Pekka, Bowers, and Barre-Boulet continue to get the most attention for my prospects. If any of them are moved for pick(s), a first rounder is where discussion starts. If a similar prospect, looking for defensemen in return. As for other prospects/players, open to all types of ideas. So, players available: Forwards: Jakub Voracek (3 team NMC) Nazem Kadri (3 team NTC) Michael Frolik (LNTC. I think he has an 8 team no trade list) Lars Eller Anders Lee Joe Thornton Joel Armia Radek Faksa Zach Aston-Reese Derek Ryan Brendan Lemieux Andreas Johnsson Kenny Agostino Defensemen: Dustin Byfuglien (3 team NMC) Kris Letang (50% retained throughout) Alec Martinez (3 team NTC) Rasmus Andersson Braydon Coburn Igor Ozhiganov Matt Dumba Radim Simek Prospects: Tye Felhaber Keegan Kolesar Sam Lafferty Joel L’Esperance Nathan Smith Jayden Halbgewachs Fredrik Olofsson Carsen Twarynski Shane Bowers Alex Barre-Boulet Julien Gauthier Cameron Hillis Nikolai Kovalenko Ben Jones Luke Henman Jonathan Kovacevic Jacob Bryson Alex Lintuniemi Grant Hutton Alexandre Carrier Dennis Gilbert Mac Hollowell Alec Rauhauser Luke Martin Scott Perunovich Simon Johansson Ivan Nalimov Karel Vejmelka Josef Korenar Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen Adin Hill
  20. Last call. One person PM’d. So, maybe a little back and forth Oh yeah, and Vegas’ 3rd overall pick could be moved for a game breaker.
  21. Last call. One person PM’d. So, maybe a little back and forth
  22. I knew I was in the first wildcard spot. What I didn’t know was the massive gap between the haves and the have nots in the East.
