I'll also add that for the first time, I've watched Rick and Morty, as I had no idea what it was about, or the core concept. For those of you who've seen it, right now I feel like what Rick must feel like on a continuous basis. Feels like he's the smartest in the room, but had far too much liquor for anyone's own good.

Also very serious about how out of it I am. It's 4am, I'm now 3 white wines in with no food in my belly. Ordinarily I'd try and reach out, but I'm really not in the right frame of mind to: A. Search through rosters in depth, and B. Assess whether something I'd offer is fair. So I'm going to rely heavily on people reaching out during this time

Going to start inundating this board with my nonsense, again. Sorry everyone Home stretch. All prospects on the table to those looking to move players who may not have been available on your clubs before. Bowers, Ukko-Pekka, Perunovich, Barre-Boulet, Gauthier. You see them, they're available. Let's get some highly buzzed, jet lagged, 4am, middle seat guy who won't move his elbows because he's in the middle seat, trading on!

Should add that I'm two white wines in, and I just got my second in a span of 20 minutes. Now's the time to trade with me

Carolina News Flying home from India as I write this. Unlike my way here, our flight actually has Wifi this time around. So will be on and off the next 14 hours. Won't have access to discord, so any and all dealings will be through CDC. Reach out!

I have Lion on my list to watch, which is currently 15 deep. However, for the sake of discussion, I’ll bump it up to the top and give my take on it in the next 3(ish) days. Maybe it’s available on India Netflix and I can watch on the plane ride home. As for Room, 2015 was a strong year for movies: Mad Max, Trumbo (criminally underrated), What We Do In the Shadows, It Follows, Ex Machina. I’d say it’s one of the best from that strong, strong year. Only watched it once and it’s stuck with me. The decision to split the movie up and not have it based entirely in the room was very smart; showing the toll it took on both of them, in far different ways.

Just a friendly reminder from India:

Carolina Movement: Nazem Kadri to IR due to concussion. Recall: Zach Aston-Reese and place on active roster. @Nail

Get my brief window a day to check in. Not sure there’s much I can do to alter my lineup, so won’t really be reaching out to teams. However, I’m also removed from the goings on, which will add to that. So, if there are teams that are looking to move a serious playoff asset, reach out to me with an idea of what you’d like in return. Tomorrow (as it’s 10:48pm here) is a busy morning, followed by A LOT of travel. So I won’t be able to do any back and forth. I’ll be up for a little longer, though. So if you’d like to take advantage of a truly burnt out individual, the doors unlocked and I’m nearly out.

Love seeing a non Eastern team load up.

Carolina Hurricanes GM Update Hello from Kolkata in India! Been a whirlwind since arriving last Friday (Saturday here). Not sure how many I’ve told exactly what I do, but I work for a non-profit organization that focuses on running literacy programs for children and adults (separate programs), with India being the primary country. With over 300,000,000 million in India that are completely illiterate, those people in particular have lives that are completely beyond hope, living in complete poverty, without knowing basic healthcare and the concept of how to save money or care for their families. Many of our programs are also dominated by women, and have heard a number of them tell me how they didn’t feel like they were even humans before learning how to read and write, often feeling less than dogs (which are a real problem here). Long story short, I know most/all of you are very smart individuals and know that you shouldn’t take what you have for granted. However, as I consider you all friends and family, just a friendly reminder that you hold those close to you a little tighter tonight or call someone you know that you think needs someone to talk to. We are all very blessed to live where we do.

Two starts in a row, two straight wins. Has Mike Smith finally turned a corner? Definitely not. But I’ll take the points.

Turns out I usually have a few times a day to jump on, as opposed to before where it was majority of my life (think I have a problem). Still looking to make a move. Going to come right out and say it. @Patrick Kane, hit me up with cost. Jet lag + being away from scores and players = High likelihood of meeting your asking price. This applies to all you, by the way. All except @D-Money. I don’t like the cut of your jib. Yes, that’s still a saying.

In the last 6 games, the Oilers have been outscored 27-12. 36-19 over the last 8 games. I’m certainly no expert. Far from it. But I’m pretty sure the Oilers are desperate for a lot more than a top-six winger. Are they desperate for one? Yes. However, I’m not sure a top 6 winger would have scored 16 goals in 6 games to make up the difference. The list of things Edmonton is desperate for is never ending. A team is one of them.

Just arrived at Delhi airport. And boy, are my arms tired...

I saw the original first. Much better. The plot holes here were pretty bad. ”Our 3 drug dealers are missing. Did they leave?” Yes, I’m sure the guy who’s DNA is splattered all over his Wedding Dress Shop (not in the original) just up and left with your drugs

Carolina Movement: Activate: Zach Aston-Reese off IR. Assign: Zach Aston-Reese to minors (no waivers). @Nail

Wife and I watched this on Saturday. So many plot holes, tonal issues, and character-to-story inconsistencies that we really couldn't enjoy it at all.

Alright ladies. Chance I could post tomorrow, but otherwise, I’m out till the 25th. Happy trading!

The Vancouver Canucks have extended defenseman Brian Dumoulin to a 5 year contract extension, worth $28.09M ($5.3M AAV). Deal includes a 10 team no trade list. @Primal Optimist @Nail

Carolina Hurricanes Final Roster Voracek - Kadri - Panarin Laine - Thornton - Armia Johnsson - Kotkaniemi - Lee Lemieux - Eller - Armia Ryan Faksa Reese Letang - Byfuglien Dumba - Pulock Martinez - Coburn Simek - Andersson Smith DeSmith For the playoffs, while there's lots of hockey to play still, it's still unlikely that Voracek makes it in. Also looking like Martinez isn't getting traded, which is a huge blow, as is the Dumba injury with the Wild looking like they may not make it in. That said, I've still got a lot of high end producers that could help me get past the first round. While one more trade would have been huge for my playoff hopes, it was not meant to be. I've still got my futures in place.

So I haven’t been too active in trades here. Leaving soon for 10 days and won’t be available to talk trade. So if you want something from Chicago, send me an offer. Vegas’ 1st round pick available

The Columbus Blue Jackets have extended Blake Wheeler to a 5 year contract, worth $45M ($9M AAV). Deal comes with a full NMC. @winterhawks @Nail
