  1. The Los Angeles Kings have signed the following players to extensions: Tyler Seguin: $10M x 8. Deal comes with a full NMC. Zach Hyman: $4.5M x 5. @D-Money @Nail
  2. Carolina Update: After moving Mikko Koskinen, it appears as though more goalies could be moved soon, particularly current Chicago Blackhawks starter, Collin Delia. With recently locking up Casey DeSmith, and Carter Hart looking to be my starter next year, my boy from Rancho Cucamonga is looking to be moved to a team that will give him some playing time. Due to his birth certificate indicating he’s American, I’m sort of shocked that @Boeserific hasn’t reached out.
  3. Very, VERY thankful I didn’t sign Luke Schenn when he signed for the Sharks. Even worse, now.
  4. Chicago OTB Nick Leddy Ron Hainsey Igor Ozhiganov Only one of Hainsey or Ozhiganov will get traded. Stuff and things in return.
  5. @D-Money doing his prospect report reminded me that I forgot to do my December report. The following to come a little later tonight (hopefully): December Report: Keegan Kolesar Alexandre Carrier Mikey Anderson Nathan Smith Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
  6. Definitely not possible that Edmonton screwed up his development
  7. Made Pad Thai twice in the last week (thanks to our Wok). Each time using a much different take/recipe, both times were incredibly tasty. By far the easiest (as far as prep and amount of ingredients) and quickest of all the regular meals in our rotation.
  8. Never much of a conversation. Majority of adaptations to screen don't have the time to do the source material justice. People seem to understand that the movies just can't be as good as the books.
  9. Thanks to @lethunder for the quick negotiations. Not terribly thrilled that I wasn’t able to get Koskinen into games this season. But with the addition of DeSmith and Hart appearing to be the starter going forward in Philly, it became apparent that Koskinen, even if he were playing for me, was going to have trouble finding playing time beyond this season. I wish him well. Really happy to bring in Melker Karlsson and Zack Kassian. One will for sure be in the playoffs, while the other is a bit of a crapshoot. If Zack and the Oilers get in, he’s usually good for some PIMs. If not, then maybe he gets traded and helps out in the 4th line somewhere. In the middle of negotiations with the rest of my RFAs, so it appears as though I may be done now for trades. If you have a bonafide playoff starter, now is the time to reach out. More importantly, if Matt Dumba interests you, better send in an offe lr ASAP, as I’m going to be extending him. Once extended, I will not be trading him.
  10. Movement: Assign: Andreas Johnsson to the AHL. (No waivers). @Nail
  11. With a soon to be posted extension, next season is going to be a cheap one in next for the Hurricanes. Unless a deal comes together soon (ie: before Feb 14), I’ll be going into next season with DeSmith and Carter Hart. Because of this, and Koskinen not likely to get any games in this year for my time, it’s time he gets some playing time somewhere else. Now, just need the offers to come in. The Hurricanes aren’t paying for the U-Haul rentals, either.
  12. Carolina - The News Never Stops Alright guys, these goalies aren’t moving. A lot of them have their stuff already in a U-Haul. Rent a U-Haul for as low as $19.99! Mikko Koskinen is officially going to be traded, just looking for the right suitor. His stuff is in a U-Haul, ready to go! Get those offers in! This message brought to you by U-Haul.
  13. While not my player, this is sad. Like, he should be paid less than league minimum for playing so badly:
  14. Best fondue I’ve ever had was at The Grizzly House in Banff. Love oil fondue for cooking meat. I’m not a fan of cheese or chocolate fondues.
  15. This makes me want to buy it. All I played the previous versions for was the GM Mode. Last years was so bad that I didn’t bother this time. Maybe I should just wait for NHL20.
  16. We had 4 family members stay at our place over the holidays, and my wife decided to haul it out for everyone to have while we watched a movie. She was the only person that had some
  17. Growing list of injured players: Movement: IR: Zach Aston-Reese to IR. https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/penguins/2019/01/09/zach-aston-reese-injured-reserve-garrett-wilson-penguins/stories/201901090091 @Nail
  18. Don’t think I’ve ever made or had a Lasagna with Cannellini beans in it. I have had eggplant, which I thought was a decent substitute for those that are vegetarian. Although, I can’t wrap my head around not eating meat. I’ve never made risotto or my own pasta noodles from scratch. I have thought about it, as I know that ravioli is the best introduction to them. I think, aside from time, I don’t want to make them because I don’t want to buy a pasta machine (hand crank). While my house isn’t small, my kitchen has limited space. I blame this on my wife, as I do 90% of the cooking, but she’s a boarderline hoarder and refuses to let me get rid of unnecessary things, like TWO FONDUE SETS!
  19. I reviewed it, sort of, in the TV thread. I felt bad for Will Poulter. Great actor. Intetesting (on paper) idea, but should never have been realized. One of those things where the writers SHOULD have said, “Yeah, that would be an interesting episode idea. But it wouldn’t work, because you wouldn’t feel attached to the characters, you don’t know what the actual resolution is supposed to be, and executing it successfully would be impossible, because it’s an interesting idea, but a terrible thing to watch.”
  20. I like Ryker. He wasn’t given a lot to work with, so I thought he was fine with what he was given. I also like most characters from TNG, except for: 1. Wesley: Although, he was funny to laugh at, not with. Very cringe. 2. Beverly Crusher: She was hit and miss. A lot of miss. 3. Deanna Troi: While she didn’t have the cringe factor of Wesley, her character was useless. Wesley and Beverly have actual jobs that were necessary on a ship. If they weren’t there, they’d still need people to fill those jobs. For Troi, she was essentially used to say, “They seem dishonest.” Snooze.
  21. @gurn There’s also this beauty for Ryker
  22. Which is why he was off the show after season 4. As for Worf. We’ve all watched that YouTube comp.
