  1. Green Lantern - 0/10 Well, time to kill myself.
  2. Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion wasn't too bad. But otherwise, she has been in nothing memorable. Unless you count The Replacement Killers or At First Sight, which I don't.
  3. Mighty Aphrodite - 9/10 Can't believe I avoided this for so long. Definitely owe D-Money a thanks for reminding me that this existed. Seriously, aside from Mira Sorvino being a born again Christian, where has "this" actress been hiding for so long? She really knocked it out of the park in this role. While Allen gets a ton of credit for the writing, Sorvino's portrayal of a porn actress/hooker was so likable. Really wanted the best for her.
  4. As per a recommendation from D-Money quite a while ago, finally watching Mighty Aphrodite. So far, so good. Mira Sorvino, where have you gone?
  5. I think that's a pretty fair comparison, actually. While Sunshine was not without its flaws, it was a lot more enjoyable than Event Horizon, which is so, so awful.
  6. Watched a lot of movies, but I've forgotten most of them, as they were all pretty terrible. Like, Kickass 2 - 0/10 Nothing remotely redeemable about this. Absolutely terrible.
  7. Just finished. It is not worth it. Not even in the "so bad it's good" territory. Just boring and empty.
  8. Nah, just felt like being my typical smart a$$ self. Currently watching the new Fantastic Four. Now THAT is hitting a nerve.
  9. The horror film set in space. Watched Vanilla Sky. I think Ghostbusters was better. They were both set in New York.
  10. The Wolfman - 4/10 The new one with Benecio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, and Hugo Weaving. Even though I've wanted to see this for years, my expectations going in were very low. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of good. The set designs and production were top notch. Also, the transformation to "Wolf" was done really well. Very, very bloody, though. Don't watch with kids in the room However, the only good from this film was what I mentioned above. All the actors were completed wasted in this movie. The script was very weak and none of the cast looked interested. You can really tell they were just going through the motions.
  11. Hunger Games: Whatever the last one is called - 1/10 Was going to give it a 2, but honestly can't say one good thing about it. Quite possibly the worst YA film I've ever seen.
  12. Watched lots of movies, don't remember most of them. Short reviews: Strangers - 5/10 With Liv Tyler and some other actors. Interesting horror/thriller. Executed alright. But forgettable. Cabin in the Woods - 9/10 I've seen this a lot and it still holds up. Obviously bloddy, but really funny and clever as well. Ender's Game - 3/10 Not "Jupiter Ascending" bad, but still bad. About to see the last Hunger Games. So we'll see about this. And lastly, Homeland. Obviously not a movie, but wife and I have watched the first 2 seasons. As off putting as Claire Danes was at first, I warmed up to her after a while. Really good series, though.
  13. Take Shelter - 10/10 Watching for the second time, this time with the wife. Just as amazing as the first viewing. Easily in my top 5.
  14. Spectre - 5/10 Standard Bond film. Not great, but it wasn't terrible. However, the ending was completely underwhelming. Oh yeah, and three different helicopter scenes AND a separate plane scene? Jeez.
  15. Ash vs. Evil Dead: Episode 2 - 10/10 Impressive how much like the originals these are so far. Best quote of the second episode: Ash buries girls parents. Girl: You know they were Jewish, right? Ash: I do now. I wish you would have said something before I made those dumb crosses.
  16. Southpaw was terrible. Really, really terrible.
  17. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Say what you about Mel Gibson, but the guy plays his role well in films.
  18. To me, the best part of the Ash vs. Evil Dead episode, even though I loved all of it, was the scene between him and the doll. Seeing Campbell break pots over his face was amazing. ----------------------- The Maze Runner Scorch Trials - 8/10 I don't know why, but out of all the YA movies around, I find this series so far to be the strongest, other than the Potter films. This was a lot of fun.
  19. Sleepaway Camp Everyone here already knows how much I love this movie. "I'll be right there guys, but first, I gotta take a wicked dump." --------------------------- Ash vs. Evil Dead First episode lives up to the hype. Truly incredible.
  20. Worst Stephen King film? Answer: Maximum Overdrive
  21. Mr. Robot was just "ok" for me. Parts were really good, and others were just "meh".
  22. I forgot about watching Dead Alive this month! Getting it now.
  23. This is absolutely true. When a team has as many big guys as the Jets have (Buff, Wheeler, Thorburn, Ladd, Lowry, Myers, Trouba, Pardy), a guy like Ehlers is given the best chance to succeed. The Canucks just aren't built for a guy like Ehlers to succeed; at least, not at the moment.
