  1. As we've all seen, it's ridiculously difficult to end a successful series. I also thought it was incredibly solid. Not so much funny, just good conclusion to all the characters. And yes, I agree with the Jean Ralphio flash forward. I was hoping to see him in he finale, and he and Mona Lisa did not disappoint, The only characters I thought were missing was Tammy 2 and Jamm.
  2. Gets better. First season, like most successful shows, is usually the weakest. Gets a lot better, especially when Adam Scott's character becomes a regular mid-way through season two.
  3. Not the US one, we're talking about the British one.
  4. While I absolutely love The Office, to me Extras is the most rewatchable and enjoyable. One of my all time favourite shows.
  5. Watched Shame. It was alright. Not a big Carey Mulligan fan.
  6. I know you were. However, majority of people on these forums are probably not familiar with our taste in films, and may draw their own conclusions as to why someone may pass on a film like Blue Is The Warmest Colour. For instance, I could see someone reading my response and coming to an absurd, black and white interpretation and say, "Oh, you're just a prude. There's nothing wrong with watching porn. Blah, blah, blah".
  7. Wife and I don't have much use for "films" that are pretty much porn. We watch films because they are things we don't/cant't experience ourselves. If we want porn, we have each other. If we want teenage lesbian porn, then my wife had her youth. For the little bit we watched, I felt incredibly dirty. And dirty in the sense that "I should probably be arrested for watching this." Yes, I understand that the actresses involved were not actually teenagers, but they were portraying teenagers. It was weird.
  8. Kingsmen - 6.5/10 Had a lot of fun with this one. A lot better than I expected it to be. There were a few things that bothered me about it (i.e. Stereotypical 1-dimensional rich kid in training who doesn't like poor people, Sam Jackson wearing a baseball cap?, sloppy editing on more than one occasion). All in all, it was enjoyable. Probably wouldn't watch it again, but I appreciated that it was all done tongue-in-cheek. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mr. Peabody and Sherman I can't even really give this a rating, tbh. I just watched this last night, laughed a few times, but completely forget it now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Horrible Bosses 2 - 5/10 I watched it. I enjoyed it enough. Wouldn't watch it again.
  9. I could not watch Blue is the Warmest Colour. I didn't realize that it was basically porn. Caught me and the wife quite off guard.
  10. Horns - 6.5/10 Dark comedy and definitely original. I actually really enjoyed it, though the ending did drop it down several points. Can't help but think it would have been better had it ended completely differently. By ending, I'm mean the last 20 minutes. Acted very well by HP as well. And it's official, Daniel Radcliffe has official grown out of the "cute 11 year old" we all remember him as and turned into a gangly looking coke addict.
  11. It's important to pat yourself on the back when you are so busy making time to take care of others' needs.
  12. While the old ball and chain reads like a fiend and likes her fair share of terrible Kate Hudson films, she's refused to read a book that is essentially targeted towards unsatisfied housewives.
  13. AS was probably one of the worst films I watched in the last year. While I am already overly critical of films, I am moreso for military/war films as my grandfather fought in WWII and my brother was in the military. So my expectations for how films should be handled are sky high. Sniper was terrrible.
  14. Probably busy picking out fedoras and drinking Mountain Dew.
  15. You didn't know who Beck was until Yeezus stole his thunder at an awards show. THAT is a crime against humanity.
