All fair. Think my opinion has more to do with player preference, especially on Iverson. Had the pleasure of seeing the 76ers play the Clippers back in 1997 in Los Angeles. Man, Iverson absolutely owned the court. Was unreal to see him play.

My interest in watching NHL hockey when it returns is, without a doubt, as low as it has ever been. I seriously doubt I'll watch any games. Because of Netflix and The Last Dance, I can say with certainty that I'm pumped to start watching basketball, again. Was a massive fan from 1993-2001, until I went to a Grizzlies v Lakers game. The "load management" was well into effect then, and me and 9 other business students in university paid for courtside seats and watched Kobe and Shaq play a combined 6 minutes. It was devastating. But the documentary has me wanting to get back into basketball.

Yeah, this Lebron v Jordan thing is, in my opinion, not even a debate. For those that ever watched the two (or in experts case, played against the two), know that Jordan was superior in virtually every way. A few years ago, I think it was Barkley who said, after the Cavaliers lost in 4 straight to the Warriors, that if there was ever a debate, it ended there. Jordan was never a "no show" in a Finals. Not at any point in his career. Take away how liked or not liked they were by teammates, or who did more off the court, Jordan was on a whole other level. He transcended the game. He brought it to a level no other player had done before or since. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd put Iverson and Duncan ahead of Lebron.

Thanks again! I know we all try to express our thanks as often as we can, but I know you put a lot of time and energy into this league, far more than we likely deserve; especially when (speaking only for myself) I have moaned and b*tched in years past. The league is in a great place, and while all of the GMs/members in here have done a great job contributing to that, it's a testament to how you've structured and run the league.

I am not cool. So didn't even hear about these guys until you posted this. In the middle of listening to "Teens of Style", right now. This is superb.

Exactly what SM said. There are so many great exercises to do with dumbbells, especially if you have a pretty big variety of weight to choose from. If you have a lot of different choices, it would be dumbbells all day from me. However, like SM said, the limit really is you imagination. Body weight exercises alone can be fantastic, as long as you are pushing yourself.

Yeah, pretty much that exact spot. Left leg on the outside. Getting old sucks. The only fun thing about getting old is being able to: 1. Tell kids to get off of my yard (fence has helped that); and 2. Begin conversations with kids, "Back in my day..."
-
Totally forgot that we have one of these in the house. My wife uses it for her workouts. It's been 6 days and my left leg is still bothering me.

The New York Islanders have already swung a trade that will bring in a prospect I've been wanting since the 2018 draft, in return for using my free compliance buyout on another organziations player. Very happy about the trade.
-
Let me clarify. I am definitely here for me, first and foremost. Screw your longterm plans
-
New York Islanders will not be using a buyout, as we're in good space financially after moving Dustin Byfuglien prior to the deadline. Also made a trade that has yet to be announced that will bring in one (maybe two, I forget) possible cheap NHL players next season, so I'm good. If you are a team that requires an additional buyout, again, hit me up. I am here for YOU!

Mike Tyson set to make comeback against Roy Jones Jr.
Monty replied to cuporbust's topic in Off-Topic General
I guess I shouldn’t be all too surprised, if this is actually the case. A lot of athletes and entertainers who get incredibly wealthy and purchase a ton of things (and gamble on top of it) usually don’t anticipate the long term costs of said purchases. The countless stories of athletes, singers, and actors who have gone broke because they buy things that have carrying costs, which inevitably cost in the tens of millions to maintain, is too many to count. -
Parks opened yesterday. Finally get to see my daughter play around other kids, for a change. So awesome! Great to see all these kids so happy after months of being locked up with their boring parents.

Sad that there hasn’t been an official boxing game in something like 7-8 years. -

With sports being shut down, it’s given me time to look back on others I used to watch (especially throughout the 90s). Gotta say, when everything comes back, I’ll be watching a lot more basketball and would love to see a resurgence of boxing. Favourite boxer in the 90s was Prince Naseem Hamed. -

Is Mayweather really broke? If so, I cannot wrap my head around how that would even be possible. -
Yes. If you want to trade a player for the other team to buy said player out, then yes, you can do that. Guessing this would be motivation if you have more than one player to buyout.
-
This is something I’d be willing to do for a team.

I think the other thing is that sweats weren’t fashionable in the 90s, unlike now. I’ve got some sweet workout sweats I could wear publicly, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
-
In the locker room, plenty of times was pantsed. Otherwise, out in public? No. And at school in the 90s, nobody wore sweats to school, unless it was gym class. Guys, at least in my time as teenagers, didn’t want to flaunt “can’t help it” boners. Sweats is like the worst thing to wear.
-
People can dress however they want. None of my concern. I'll dress in sweats in the spring and fall when I'm going for a run outside. Otherwise, I do have jeans, which are already casual wear.

Frolik only has one year remaining after this season, Cogliano has 2. If it’s between those two, you go Cogliano.

Since the clauses will be removed for a temporary amount of time, I’d keep Bob and terminate Myers. Bob will get points. Myers is terrible.
