As would I, if need be.

Want to say that I had way more fun with this than I expected. Was so much fun. I respect your decision, as well, to shut it down. I do not, however, respect you assholes who contributed to this decision being made.

They shouldn’t. That’s on their parents to drill into theirs heads. Athletes are, for the most part, totally and utterly useless individuals who can’t change a tire, as evidenced by the fact that they have a grade 12 education, focusing all their waking attention on training and become professional morons.

First, I know Zfetch online, so he knows I was “somewhat” joking. Two, I know him “online”. If some stranger I didn’t know came to my door and needed help, someone I never met, my help would be “What have you done to help yourself? I have a family inside I need to help, and protecting them is what I am doing in this instance to help them. So you can get the eff off my step and walk right down my driveway.” I will help those “in person” that I know. I will help my fellow man by donating and volunteering. Any stranger that comes to my door will not be helped.

People can say whatever they like. It’s just words. I don’t have to agree with it, but as someone who had a sh*t ton of negative things said about me growing up because of who I was and, more importantly, who my family was, I was taught: ”Don’t listen to any of it. You know who you are, they don’t. Aspire to be better than them. Their behaviour is on them. When we’ve all lived long and we’re gone, we will all be remembered or forgotten. Focus your attention on doing good for you, your family, and your community. If someone else doesn’t subscribe to that, let them be miserable individuals. Don’t focus your attention on them, they’re not worth it. They have to live with themselves 24/7, which must be both exhausting and sad. Count yourself to be very, very fortunate that you know better.” Leipsic is a clown. And clowns exist. With only a handful of developed counties in the world, and the vast majority of the population of the world not in developed countries, these things aren’t going away or happening less. And none of that is my concern. Especially those conversations that were intended to be private, no matter how much I don’t subscribe to what was said. Their problem, not mine.

Neither have me or my friends at any point in our lives. However, outliers aren’t the norm, unfortunately. For every good kid out there, who had well adjusted parents as well, there are loads that aren’t. Tons. And things, such as education, career choice, and those you associate with all play a part. There’s a reason why professional athletes have always been on the wrong side of history than right. Money and power. And when you combine those two with having all those things before your brain is even finished developing mentally, and more importantly, your brain is forming during that time when you are having more money and power than most people will ever have, it’s not surprising that Leipsic said this in private. There’s a reason professional hockey teams have PR departments for their players, and it’s exactly precisely for times like these. It’s because professional athletes are morons who aren’t well adjusted individuals seeking a career in “insert job here.” Not waving it off. Just saying, let’s not give any of these people the time of day to begin with. They’re clowns. I don’t give attention to 25 year olds who pump iron to begin with. Not the people I’m particularly interested in seeing become leaders of the world, because they never will.

Breaking News Conversation has been leaked between one of the 800 NHL hockey players and another player at a club, discussing someone’s appearance. This has never happened before in professional hockey or sports before, nor in regular everyday talk between men between the ages of 18-35. More to come.

*Wakes up today to hear about a 25 year old professional athlete with a grade 12 education acting like a buffoon behind the scenes.* Shocked. Well, time to go about my life like I have for a while, now. That these moron, professional gym rats have never been role models. I remember hearing that from John Kruk, when I was 11 years old in 1993 when a reporter asked him, “You chew tobacco, what do you think that says about you as a role model?” His answer? “Lady, I’m a ball player, not a role model.” Leipsic’s comments are awful, and also not surprising. Yet another reason (see: decades of examples already) to steer my children towards “actual” role models in life, not spoiled brat, undeveloped mentally millionaires.

9th worst. Exactly where I expected.

Toronto Maple Leafs This has been a predictably terrible season. Finishing in the bottom 10 is not surprising. However, not all is bad. Brad Richards: The still in his prime center will finish the season with over 70 points. Something I desperately needed. And no center would be available this draft that could step in and do that anytime soon. So still happy with that acquisition. David Perron: In a contract year, while the first two seasons may be an indication of where he is roughly at (50ish point player), he found chemistry alongside Richards and exploded with 37 goals this season and just over 70 points. Slava Voinov: In his first season, he was my only consistent blueliner, with 24 points and a +14. Mike Smith: Despite a middle of the road record, his .910 save percentage and 2.72 GAA is pretty decent, considering how many shots he had to endure. The bad. Everyone else.

I’ve got $2.45M and some change to work with to take on a contract or two.

I'm playing him a lot, too. Going to have to change things. And by "change things", I mean, "force him to retire."

Alex Ponikarovsky, who has a few more points (45) and is cheaper than Backes ($3.3M) is OTB.
