I have a feeling I’d be around the 2:10 mark. But I haven’t even tried, yet. So good on you!

Sundin confused.

Thanks Sane for the quick and friendly negotiations. Depending on how the off-season goes with Jarno Siren, it was clear that Kyle Calder deserved more time up the lineup. He spent a large portion of the season on the 4th line. Once I bumped him up to the second line, he really got going. May be a situation where he gets first PP time, or even 1st line duty. Again, will have to see how the off-season goes. Avery is a tough one. He wasn’t getting PP time with me, but he was getting 3rd line duty. Have to decide whether to keep him there, or bump him up to the 2nd line. The problem is that Lucic did really well going from the 3rd line to the 2nd line, as he finished with 42 points in his rookie season. All this said, the big issue is likely line chemistry. I haven’t used a perk on best line combo, which is something I may have to do instead of re-negotiating a contract. Gotta think on that.

Beastie Boys Story Documentary on Apple+, directed by Spike Jonze. The “movie”, or whatever it is, was filmed in New York in 2018 with Mike D and Adrock on on stage in front of a crowd, as they go over their career from 1984-1997. They touch on, for like 30 seconds, 2009 and Adam Yauch’s cancer and death. This hurts, because the Beastie Boys were such a massive part of my youth. First heard them when I was 12, Ill Communication, and I was hooked. Loved them so much. But this documentary is awful. Like, real, real bad. I wrote more, but I lost all of it, because CDC does that sometimes on mobile. Skip it, it sucks.

This home workout is getting to me. For the last 5 weeks, I've been focusing primarily on chest, shoulders, and arms. Can't work back a whole lot because I don't have the adequate equipment. Also, when my father gave me his weight set, he decided to keep his 20lb dumb bells, which eats into my standing tricep extensions. I'm doing squats, but I'm using 45lb dumb bell, so it's more than uncomfortable doing it that way.

Have a quick sec. Henrik Tallinder Kyle Calder Ian White Some other guys

Oh yeah, forgot about John Madden. He’s available, as well.

Recall: James Reimer

Kyle Calder has 28 points on the season. Was recently bumped up to the 2nd line and is now producing well. Leads team in plus/minus with +12. Probably my most valuable rental at this point.

@Nail When’s the next prospect stat report time? Is it 60 games, or at the end of the season?
-
These assholes are still available.

Thanks bud! So the other one is to be scrapped, then? Cool cool.

Not in a rush, but when will SS be up to date? Not only due to trades, but position changes as well? Thanks!

Well, not great to see Kipper leave. However, my team was not pulling through after the Richards trade. Mike Smith will give me the chance to have 3 young goaltenders (Mason and Reimer) with the opportunity to anchor the team long term. So the odds are better long term. And I’d still do that Richards trade all over again, only because Jarno Siren, when he comes over, will need a top line center to distribute the puck to him. Voynov was the big add, though. Now have decent future on the backend with him, White, and Loow.

Kipper OTB.

Well, time to sell off some players in the last year of their contracts. Looking for pick(s) in return. Kyle Calder: 24 points. Mostly played 4th line minutes until this last sim (2nd line now). $2.95M. Chad Kilger: 12 points. 4th line on my team. $1.2M. Brent Sopel: 1 point, but has only played 7 games for me. $800k. Ian White: 22 points. Likely won’t get traded, as he’s one of my only young producing defenseman. But he’s an RFA making $675k.

[Report] Jets officially terminate Byfuglien’s contract
Monty replied to qwijibo's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Just going to add, Byfuglien alone made my season tickets to the Jets more than worth it. He always made games worth there admission price. Going to miss watching him. Very few players in the NHL where you can say, “There’s no one else like him.” Buff is that guy. Linebacker on the ice. -
Well, at least it was next year’s 1st I traded, and not this year’s.
-
Defensive defensemen and defensive forwards are the bottom 10%? Huh.

Better Call Saul - Season 5 Just gets better and better. Can’t wait for season 6. Ozark - Season 3 I enjoyed season 1 and finished season 2 a few weeks ago, after stopping it a year ago. Just didn’t really like the second season. Season 3 is great. The end, setting up season 4, is predictable and sort of a “Well, we haven’t done this yet, so now let’s go in this predictable direction.” That’s the only unsatisfying thing. However, the brother’s portrayal of someone suffering from mental illness and being bi-polar is phenomenal. Probably the most sensitive, haunting, sad, and accurate portrayal on film/tv in a while.

Big day for Toronto. Will adding Brad Richards, Sean Avery (been looking at acquiring since season 1) and Andy Sutton (effectively Hal Gill’s replacement) be enough to get into the playoffs. Perhaps not. This is why I kept this years 1st instead of next years. However, correcting the number 1 center position for the next 3 years to start pushing for consistent playoff appearances next season is the goal. Sean Avery will be extended, as will correcting a salary on the backend to open up cap space. Kipper deserves more support up front. I highly doubt Richards will be able to shoulder everything and turn our club into an offensive juggernaut, but he’ll help our rookies and Perron develop into great supporting players. Avery is an asshole. Need that on the team.
