Fans shouldn't overtly hate on Bo if he struggles to justify the trade. It was a good trade for both teams. We should just leave it there. I think this year is an outlier year for him statistically and that contract is too much for his past production but I wish him nothing but the best going forward. He was a solid player for us and he netted us a good return for the kind of player he is.

The double standard is real. Again, some of the most vocal "trade Miller at all cost" takes are from those who were clamoring to keep Bo. They know who they are even if they deny it now. The receipts don't lie.

Was a good trade then and looking even better now.

I find it quite amusing how people can make up stories in their minds and then come to a conclusion opposite of what a player/person actually said. Asked if Petey was happy in Vancouver, he say, "Yes." CDC equate yes with no. His relationship with JT is a non issue yet people want to make it an issue. Nothing was said out of pocket. There was no insinuation. I guess people want controversy to help whatever narrative they have about certain players and the team in general.

JT Miller will net less than Horvat if traded. Stick with reality. These fleece scenarios will never happen.

Too many ifs. You're supposed to be paid based off of past performance, what you're doing currently, and consistency. Bo is having a career year. Based off his crazy shooting % this year, this season is most probably an outlier.

I know the salary cap keeps going up over the years and the salaries are based off the % of the cap but Bo's AAV is the same as Stamkos and Draisatl....lol. Imo, it should be an updated number closer to Ryan Nugent Hopkins.

After discovering what it took to sign Bo to his extension, this trade went from a B to and A-.

JT Miller. He is a more dynamic player. People are quick to throw out labels because of personal bias and him wearing his emotions on his sleeve but in actuality, we don't really know anything about the locker room dynamics. From what he's shown after a 99 point season, he's a better signing than Bo at 8x8.5.

Tell me you don't know NY.... Where they play is 30-35 min from Manhattan or Brooklyn by car. Certain places in Long Island, is a further commute, especially the nicer areas of Long Island. If I'm a betting man, Horvat will live either in NYC or Brooklyn.

Looks like the move JR and PA made was amazing after knowing the terms of Bo's extention.

I don't think his value is all that high at the moment.
