  1. I like Motte but NYR would be a good fit for him and a shot at a deep run
  2. Never been the biggest fan but we need some adult roleplayers so I guess it’s okay.
  3. This hits me every now and then. I feel like I have a semi-good knowledge about players around the league. But I have no knowledge what so ever at this time
  4. My wishlist today is moving Motte Pearson Chiasson Halak Not all will move but I hope they can move a few at least.
  5. I doubt that is an issue for a contender if they have the cap space. 2 years beyond this is a good term for any contender.
  6. This. But why on earth would Boston do this? Huge win for us if they do. That is also about the only scenario where I’d be okaying a trade to move Garland.
  7. Nice move by Minny. All or nothing this year. Next years team will look very different.
  8. I still dont think this is the trade that screws us. Both are playing well. Hindsight might again say it didn’t pan out perfectly, but the mess we have with the cap was signing LouiE, Jay, Antoine and guys like Myers to the numbers we did in the first place. An off year waiting would not have done our core any good and most likely JB and TG would still be here if they had taken that route in the first place. We are better off as it is now.
  9. Not the best deal on the market but I’d go that route on a one year and have a looksy. He has the tools and contributes. A full season under Bruce is something I’d like to see. Again, that’s just me. Something similar to Kotkaniemi I guess.
  10. I don’t see the point in trading Garland at this time. He is playing well for us and doing the right things. He is worth his deal and that won’t be the one holding us back. I also don’t see us getting enough value in return for Boeser at this time. I’d even be willing to take on the 7.5M next year and have another look rather than trading him now.
  11. I like this move. I’ve been hoping we’d be able to land Dermott for years now. Nothing against Hamonic really and I’m kinda sad to see him go. It was just a bizzarre start to the season for him and us. He was playing pretty well in my opinion but I can’t see this being a downgrade by any means. i’m looking forward to having Dermott here and a fresh start for him will be nice. The added cap space is really a bonus here but we improved on D at the same time.
  12. Halak too. Why would you trade core guys right now?
  13. We can fill a roster spot left by Motte, Garland or Schenn in the summer, but with the chemistry and our success of late, I don’t see this trade helping us into the playoffs this year. And I really think we can pull it off and make a good effort with these guys that we have here. Long term I’d do it but as we are in the race and quite frankly have a legitimate shot at being 3rd in the Pacific, I’d hold on to our current group. Chiasson, Dickinson, Poolman, Dipietro, Halak if he agrees to move, are guys I’d part ways with. Knowing the return won’t add up to that much - that is who I’d be willing to let go right now. Go Canucks Go & Bruce there it is
  14. I don’t see why we should move him. Quick calculation shows we’ve been one of the top teams in the league under Bruce. With the exact same roster JB built btw. We are a playing and performing like a playoff team, just outside thanks to Travis Green tho. Why break up the band now? I’d go as far as saying we’re pretty close to contending with a few smaller tweaks.
  15. He can still stand in front of the goalie and wave his stick in his face, no problem.
  16. In all my years here (that’s quite a few) I don’t think I’ve ever read a single topic in this proposals section. So when this is the first one ever, you can imagine the shock I’m in right now. OP put in a lot of time and thought here but that is one complicated and badly build formula for losing now and losing in the future. I’m probably too negative so I will show myself out the door. *exits Proposals and Armchair GM’ing and locks the door on his way out*
  17. Florida and Tampa. We were in it. This time we are on-and-off, not totally out but a few steps behind all the time. You can see the difference between top teams and ours. No chance to be thruthful. I’m a big Pettersson fan but that dude has zero confidence right now. Brad Hunt needs to be on the outside looking in.
