  1. This has be one of the strangest offseasons and starts to a season / camp I can recall with so many both exciting and uncomfortable situations around the league. From injuries, gambling accusations to holding out for contracts and anti-vaxxers etc. - Seattle Kraken coming in - Olympics issues - Monteal drafting saga - Kaprizov to KHL rumors and Minny buyouts in general - Hughes/Pettersson still unsigned - Tkatchuk and his brother in the mix - Mr & Mrs Kane - Weber, Price, Hoffman and many others failing medicals - Tarasenko rumors - Jack Eichel drama - Vaccine protocols and issues around it - Malkin, Crosby, Bäckström and many other out and this is just a part of stuff that feels off vs. a normal start to a season. It feela like every team has so many unfinished things that should have been / could have been resolved during the summer.
  2. Even I am getting frustrated already. Get this done and get the guys to camp. We need a good camp and a strong start to the season. If we start polrly it will definitely reflect on morale and we’ll be chasing all year long. This needs to happen now!
  3. Well then you are disliking his comments (and him for the wrong reasons). He never said he would play elsewehere or leave. He was asked about his future and he stated he wants to be here and the upcoming season is exciting with the new additions. To the second question about his contract he said dunno what will happen after his contract is up, he just wants to play for a team that can win - and even the he was kinda lured into saying something and he just couldn’t express himself all that well.
  4. Probably a good thing for him to get away from it all. Likely not his first choice, but most likely the only serious option (KHL) at this point. I hope to see him back in the NHL 1-2 years from now. If not, I doubt he’ll be back at all.
  5. I hope we have the full squad ready for camp. After the last few years and struggles we’ve had it would be a serious blow to our chances of starting out well enough. We need to be a playoff team. We need that, even Jim needs that. We need everyone ready when it’s time for game one. Not having everyone at camp will be a big negative.
  6. Devastating. Really, really sad. This news made me instantly want to take both my boys and hug them really tight. You never know what can happen.
  7. Even if the NHL and the team both would like to relocate the Coyotes, I highly doubt they can get it done in a year. Even if they try and focus on it full-time. And they don’t even have a full year to work on it.
  8. Nice deal both ways. They have goaltending under control even with Pekka moving on. Preds probably had the most stable goaltending in the league over the last decade.
  9. I’d like that but I somehow doubt Petey will sign for 8 at this point.
  10. I like really like our additions up front this summer. I’m actually eqally excited about Dickinson as I am about Garland. He was excited about coming here and said that he is hoping for a chance to prove he can also contribute more offensively if given a chance. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do besides the just the defensive part of his game.
  11. Exactly. Dont know how many have seen the interview, or understands swedish here. Elias in particular doesn’t seem to enjoy interviews at all. This one was definitely not a planned one, you can tell by what he says and his output, in lack of a better word. He is ’nervous’ even if it is in his own native language and he is searching for words all the time. He has to correct his sentences repeatedly. So he clearly isnt planning on saying anything about anyting, only answers the questions asked. About the future he just ends the answer with a half sentence that ”when his next contract is up… I dunno. I just want to play for a winning team”. So definitely nothing to be alarmed about. All good.
  12. Dunno if it is needed but the interview in short; Very happy with the changes made during the summer. Team will be good this year Was very pleased with the addition of OEL (mentioned that he was sitting next to him outside the picture during the interview) and that everyone knows what he can bring and he’ll help us win games this year Tough season personally with the slow start he had, then the injury and covid protocol overall. Said quality of life is still good so shouldnt complain Improved his skills on console games during his downtime and has read a few books (just one really, and started a second one) Not in agreement but is not worried, will be sorted out. Agents and team talk and they come to him with the info. Loves Vancouver and wants to be here now. Never know what happens after his contract expires but wants to be on a winning team.
  13. My guess is Poolman will play his way into the hearts of all Canuck fans and the management. He’ll play out his career in Vancouver and retire in his early 40’s after taking over the C from Bo. RoH next to Öhlund and Burrows.
  14. Very fair value and even a bit surprising when you look at the other contracts for sure. They (the others) make OEL look underpaid too Winnipeg looks to have a pretty good team this year on paper at least.
  15. This is exactly how I see the D shaping up. This will last 3-5 games and then we will have injuries non-stop until the end of the season. So Rathbone will be up at some point for sure. This is the most exciting time I’ve had waiting for camp and the season itself in all my years as a Canuck fan. No BS. So excite - Borat kinda happy
  16. AZ wont have any good players left soon. Dvorak will be a great addition to any team so I hope the get a deal done for his sake.
