Game 1 — suck — suck — fire Bruce

I’ve been a fan since 92. I don’t think this is the lowest point I’ve felt as a fan but the last 4-5 years have been. I can’t say I’ve enjoyed this season but that game way back when, when we lost to the Islanders 4-7 after leading 4-0 was one sad point I’ll never forget. From that day it really has been more downhill than anything else. The whole year with Torts was pain too. This really feels like another day at the office as a Canuck fan.

Like most people, I really like Bruce Boudreau and how honestly and solemnly he does his job. The results obviously didn’t come so I can understand the result we have here. Rick Tocchet. Haven’t really followed his career after his playing days. His record isn’t great but coaching Arizona seldom does you any favors. People say he is tough and demanding - we’ll see. And I really look forward to the new chapter. Foote and Gonchar both have my respect as great players, like Tocchet. I hope they all have the tools we need to get the team on track. Lastly, how on earth are such underachievers like Mike Yeo and Jason King still here? Absolutely nothing against these guys personally, but the team has definitely not improved its performance under these guys. Trent Cull, I really dunno, his contribution was not noticeable. Actually noticed him for the first time behind the bench tonite against Edmonton. I was like who is this guy still in Movember mode

I didn’t expect us to win this one of all the games on this trip. Good job, boys.

We need to put a claim on him. Both Delia and Martin are capable backups with someone else carrying the workload. Not saying this is the answer but we need to try and limit goals against to like 3,4 or something per game. Can’t believe I’d ever be okay with that but this is where we are. We can’t keep giving up 5+ each game so lets try something at least.

We need to make the changes now. To improve or to help us next year. Standing pat right now is not the right move in my mind.
