    Say Vancouver wins second or third pick in the lottery. Would you trade Horvat to get the number one spot for Jack Hughes? Keeping in mind that Hughes is a natural centre, thus creating a logjam at that position with Petey and Bo. Not enough ice time for three top end guys.

      No you will get a great player at 2 or 3. That being said Bo isn't a bargain hes a fair contract, Nathan Mckinnon is a bargain.

      @CanuckinEdm  MacKinnon NTC (limited) is set to kick in after this season is over.  Horvat has no such clause in his current contract.  That (imho) is worth about 500K or more.  Contracts aren't as far apart as you make it out to be (again, my opinion).
