  1. On that note, the Sedins' 'zero fights' record... Is that good? Or bad?
  2. Hehe. Cody's only 'fight' (more like a grab, fall and roll) might've been a bit selective, as Andrew Agozzino is 5'-7". Whereas Gaunce has actually thrown, even with bigger, more proven scrappers. Something that Cody has never done (and likely will never do.) Cody did roll that little guy good though. As for 'heart of a Canuck', maybe the Bulls' color scheme had me thinking old flying v and the steamer. Obviously I wasn't thinking Sedins when i was mentioning scrapping.
  3. In that case i'm glad we have the ability to attract college d-men who are just as good as a lot of these 1st rounders. (Well, aside from Justin Schultz that is.) That way we can draft the best player available instead of panic. On a side note, Forsberg and Grigorenko falling all the way to Washington and Buffalo is also explained by that panic. Looking further, Gaunce was ranked as the 5th NA forward, but was the 9th NA forward drafted. Some teams obviously went for some long shots. Calgary comes to mind. I like Gaunce's willingness to scrap, even with proven fighters. This is something Hodgson would never do. 'Heart of a Canuck?'
  4. Gaunce was ranking a lot higher up in the draft early last season, but he obviously fell. The question is why. Foot speed?
  5. Hahahaha, Botch Has Blocked Me. Aw shucks. Now i won't be able to recieve all those useless/misinformative updates. Go back to TO, Botch.

  6. It would appear that 'The Oilers Clock of Destiny' has struck three. What, Ryan Smyth just 'happened' to want to return to his beloved team? And they just 'happened' to win the draft lottery? And now Schultz just 'happened' to pick Edmonton out of all 30 teams in the league? Looking forward to seeing how many other 'fortunate coincidences' they get in the next few months. Hey, is there a lockout coming up? That's around the last time they were prominent. Re-freakin'-gards. TOML
  7. What's interesting is that Schultz was one of the Penner poaching picks. Pronger fiasco comes full circle? TOML
  8. Heckle the parents! Way too much hype around the guy to begin with. TOML
  9. Gaunce will stick up for his teammates, but he doesn't exactly frighten anyone. He'll hit, but he won't downright lay anyone out. He can score, but he won't dazzle you with moves. Bread and butter player that won't get all uppity like Hodgson, but won't show a lot of upside either. Then again, we heard a lot of the same about Kesler. Definition of 'safe pick.' He's an NHLer for sure. 3rd or 2nd line. And since he's apparently good all over the ice, he'll likely have the upper hand on a lot of our other prospects. Cheers. TOML
  10. Gary Roberts made Stamkos? Or Stamkos made Gary Roberts? TOML
  11. It's been a good 6 years. HF finally made me change my username.

I'm not on HF. Was your username the same?

  12. Like he'd even want the job. Dealing with the idiot media and fans. Eventually tarnishing his bulletproof (people remember we traded him, right?) legacy here. Not having a clue about how to be a GM. etc. I hate it when (supposedly) pro-Linden people post anti-Canuck ideas. Cheers. TOML
  13. Chara drank Coke at the bench for an endorsement ad in the playoffs. The book on how the Bruins won the cup last season was published before the finals began. Various players had mysterious tans when the weather didn't permit it. The NHL is rigged. Cheers.

The only point that would at all indicate some sort of conspiracy is the book. But the Canucks put out a book too, only theirs was about losing. That's just business. It could have been edited either way.

      I'm not saying it's a conspiracy... But it's a conspiracy.

  14. Zombie Shane... We barely knew ye...

  15. I was also thinking Andrew Ladd as a comparison. Similar scenario to ours in Carolina and Chicago, player cap-wise and style-wise, although those teams seemed a bit deeper at the time. Hopefully Kassian has the same result as Ladd in his rookie year. Cheers. TOML
  16. Control is TOML. TOML is control. TOML posts this: And Crosby falls to another round of un-Gretzky-like head injuries. TOML posts this: And Chara falls to the first significant injury he's had in years. TOML posts this: And Wellwood vanishes statistically again while Evander Kane takes over. TOML posts this: And Brian Burke bans media outlets and blocks twitter access to all those who don't fall in line with his controlling message in TO. TOML posts this: --->"Ron MacLean is a nice person and is in no way personally affected by his thoughts on Alexandre Burrows." <--- This content has been edited by the Ministry of Truth. Obviously the personal matters of those within the Inner Party are not to be discussed on a message board. That is all. The future is TOML. TOML is the future. **End transmission**
  17. Out of all recent Gillis trade/ufa acquisitions, only Lappy has gone injury-free so far.

  18. The only thing i'll sing other than the anthem at a Canuck game is 'We Are The Champions!' Could be a long wait, but at least i'm not singing.

      Cal has a brother?

  20. Chara is NOT Indestructible.

  21. Volpatti one-punched a spot onto the lineup. That's sweet.

  22. Sometimes, players are passed over multiple times for a reason. Unless he was the 2nd coming of Patrick Kane, his upside was a longshot away at best. He better show something this season in Chicago, or dat's dat.
