It's a real possibility. It would be very fitting and I hope it happens
Just one more dragon to slay. Game 7 overtime GWG in the final. #NotTooMuchToAsk
Still playing clutch hockey when it matters most. Last night he tied the game in the second against Boston, enabling the eventual overtime winner. The win clinches a playoff spot for Ottawa.
I know how you feel, it's a real tough one to swallow. Watching his story over the years over achieve every step of the way has been memorable. So many game difference making plays along the way.
The logical part of me is happy we got something good in a trade. If it was a 2nd round pick, it would seem like a waste. It doesn't make it any easier to swallow though. I'll be cheering him on in Ottawa just the same.
When does Ottawa visit next? He deserves the warmest welcome return of respect from the fans.
Joel Perrault, drafted by the Ducks.
Signed as a free agent in July 2010 coming over from the KHL. In Feb 2011, he was part of the trade that brought Lapierre to the Canucks.
He's on pace for 462 if this continues this year. That would safely land him as #4 all time this year (passing CuJo and Sawchuck), and poised to move into #3 next year (passing Belfour). He should pass Sawchuck very soon. Hopefully the Canucks don't contribute to such stat tomorrow night!
Cujo never got in... although I think he will, eventually. Everyone else near the top of the list got in.
If he wins a cup, he's a shoe in. If not, then it might take awhile. If you compare Luongo to Cujo, Luongo has far more achievements, on paper.
You are all class, love it. I'm not trying to out do you on this one...but it's a good one. The last really good one I posted was the Trevor Linden 1994 Jersey that was unfair, and you still guessed it! I don't even have the correct answer for this one, but I bet you do
