^----VC, is that Salo?

First Canucks goal.
-
I forgot how the crowd was so pumped up! Sort of reminds me of the Gino penalty shot crowd. I am sure those days shall return. Hopefully soon.
-
You have me stumped...gut feeling says Biega though
-
Will try to get to the next Canuck soon, but I had to dig this one up first! The goal itself was great, and passed from Bulis of all people. After that, skip to 1:33 for the rest...

Jeff the BraBarian?

I'm trying to understand the frozen four bracket, and I think I've got it now, but please correct me if I'm wrong. -total of 16 teams to play in the regionals. 6 of those are guaranteed spots given to conference champions -there are 4 sites, each of which has 4 teams compete in single game elimination. Each site produces a winner which advances to the frozen four. -the top 4 of the conference champions are seeded spread across each of the four sites? -the remaining 10 teams after conference champions are "selected" to play in the regionals? Not sure on "at-large" criteria? So if this sounds correct, then Boston College can still be "selected" to compete in the regionals. Anyone understand this wording "at-large basis"? In any event, I guess we find out tomorrow where Demko will play. Sounds like four straight wins earns you the championship.

That's highway robbery!

Doesn't look like he will pass Jacques Plante this year. He will probably move into top 4 all time next year though, and top three the year after! -
Burr has played his role well and been thrown all over the lineup to fill gaps and provide leadership for our youth all season. His decline in points is because he isn't playing with the sedins. WD would be wise to take a page from AV book and find those O-zone starts to play those guys. Instead of trying to use the sedins to prop someone else up, why not play the three amigos together for another season or two? The three of them could slowly move to second and third line duty as the younger core grows.

That shot is going to look real good on the PP! The fact that it hit the net already puts him at the top of the depth chart. I'm not expecting a lot of him, but if he can hit the net on the PP, defend keeping players to the outside and make the simple plays, I'll be thrilled! We haven't had a D with that kind of stick reach since Willie Mitchell left.

With current pace, and no injury, he's within "half" a game to fall short of Plante this year. It's just too close to call even at the TDL. Maybe some extra help will push him over the edge. -

http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2016/01/26/roberto-luongos-latest-milestone-now-tied-for-7th-all-time-in-wins/ It's going to come down to the last game of the season to see if he can pass, equal or fall short of Plante. -
If getting some W's means greasy goals, then someone get this guy a double bacon cheeseburger...with fries! I remember a young guy named Jagr making a career out of it with the Pens.

He's been playing on the fourth line with fewer minutes, much of which have been defensive minutes, so what would we expect? The coach is using him there because Burrows can play anywhere in the line-up. He's one of the most flexible players on the roster that way, and that alone makes him valuable. Move him back up with the Sedin's again, where he belongs, and he will produce. I don't see that happening until Sutter is back though.

The panthers have been on fire lately. So far Lu has 17W out of 39 games. Projecting out to 82 game schedule, an estimate of another 18W this year is possible. That puts him within one game of Jacques Plante by the end of this year! -
Critics come and go, but the guy continues to amaze with yet another game winner. https://youtu.be/OYSTH5YxE-E

Based on win/loss record so far this year, and number of games remaining (assuming no injury), he will pass Tony Esposito this year. The real question might be whether he can pass Jacques Plante as well? Do playoff wins count for this? If so, I'd say the odds are in his favour. -

At first, I thought it was a pretty hot deal. Then I noticed its two tickets to **3** games!!!!!!!! I looked it up to confirm, and it's not just any three games, it's any three of your choice! You can't tell me that the other stuff adds up to less than $20? 5$ t-shirt(s), an almost free puck, free photo and a park pass for less than 5$? Those NHL tickets are worth less than a WHL game here in BC.... LESS THAN A WHL GAME!!!!! I'm not sure whether to rant, or book a plane to Florida? -
When we drafted Schneider, I knew he was going to be something special. We've been pretty good about developing our goalies in the system. Demko is another level up from our previous G prospects... Elite potential. He's going to be really really good one day. In fact, if he so chooses, he could probably turn pro next year. If that will happen, remains to be seen...

Lu will be moving into number 8 (alone) in the next few games. The names he has passed recently are not small ones, and he has a few more seasons for sure: Vernon, Hasek, Osgood, Fuhr Miller, Fleury, and Lundquist are still moving up as well, but at least a season behind. -

At the moment, that award truly belongs to CuJo. I feel bad for a few guys on the list. Some, so dependable in the long run for 10+ years... get the W's, and still no cup. That's the hard part though...some of these guys have good teams and went farther than they should. Some of them went much farther with much less of a team(s). -
Congratulations to Luongo, who has moved into top ten in all time wins for NHL goalies! Luongo, along with Fleury, Miller, and Lundquist are the active goalies moving up the list. I tried to keep this readable. It could have errors, so I'll include the source: http://tinyurl.com/pznzxx5 Interesting things to notice: 1) Not that hard to imagine Luongo moving into top 5 by next year (hockey hall of fame without a cup?) 2) Despite the hard time fans have given Fleury in PIT, he is on the list and moving up 3) Miller is on the list, and could make top 20 this year 4) Hasek has the best GAA of any top 25 goalie on the list, and almost the fewest games played? 5) Brodeur and Sawchuck eclipse the rest with shut-outs. Nobody else reaches three digits. So how high on this win list does Luongo, Miller, Fleury and Lundquist make it? I'll take a guess that Lu makes it top 3. Edit - Here's the 2016/2017 picture emerging as of Nov 16, 2016.

The guy is a canuck legend! How many times has he scored in the shootout? Gwg? Overtime? Penalty shot? Breakaway? More often than not, he finishes the job with puck in the back of the net. I hope he plays this way till he's 40. I never get tired of watching it.
