  1. This. I really hope they shore up on defense. The all out offense provided a good show, but offense is much easier neutralized by good defense than a good defense can be picked apart by a good offense. I have to say though, if Seattle brings it like that, and if Harven is healthy, they are going to be scary for years. SF is the next bet. I mean, honestly, they should've won the game against Seattle. Kaep is a cocky frack though. Just don't like the dude. Scary good offense and defense either way.
  2. Doesn't really hurt his 'legacy', just his placement of all time QB's. He's still easily top 6. A win here woulda vaulted him up, but I doubt he's worried about it. Like I said, he's won one, lost two, and this loss was just showing that you can't just rely on offense, especially in the playoffs. Especially when you give up nearly 50 points to one of the more average offenses because you can't defend worth a crap. No way would I say he choked. I guess in reflection, SF or SEA was going to crush Denver or the Patriots. Both teams were hurting on D, and they were going up one of the all time best defenses ever in the game. Offense again, doesn't matter, if they can't do anything and rarely get the ball. I honestly thought Denver would have the advantage since Seattle was away from home, but props to Seattle fans for making the trip. They had a damn good following at the game.
  3. Figures people on Caniucks board are throwing out choker title at Manning. Legit wasn't his fault this game, his O-line got torched and he didn't have time. The denver defense finally put up a performance that everyone thought they would when it mattered. They stopped Lynch, but they didn't do anything about open recievers. And that Harvin return, and the touchdown after that was absolutely brutal. Manning didn't have a chance. I don't think you could put Brady or Rodgers behind that O-line and expect them to put up over 50 points. The weapons didn't show up big enough, Manning amusingly broke a completion record in a SB, but when you can't even get open deep, and your O-line doesn't give you time to make plays, on top of your D just being hideous? Yeah, game over.
  4. The O-line was caving in on him and no one could get open deep. He didn't even do bad, he just had no time, and no one open. It was a trainwreck to watch. Actually became a very boring superbowl, especially when you can almost tell the game was over before half time. But it was -really- over when Harvin scored on that return. Glad Seattle won, for sure. I feel bad for Manning, but man. What a trainwreck of a game for the Denver D. Did so well in the playoffs up to that point, then in like every aspect they turned on the suck. Cringe worthy.
  5. Manning's numbers weren't even bad. But damn, props to Seattle defense. Denver's D was absolutely brutal though. Couldn't stop the bleeding, and that Harvin return and the following TD were just brutal. Also, Denver's offensive line picked the worst game of the season to play bad. Hard to decide whether to blame the O-line, all of the secondary and special teams D, or the recievers for just not getting open. Manning had a terrible first interception, but the only good part of Denver's game was their run defense. Seattle's defense was just beastly. Their offense still kind of sucked, but they got it done. Pretty much followed the script on what you'd expect.
  6. 1st INT was on Manning. 2nd one was Moreno watching and waiting for ball. Either way, Denver's O line is getting chewed up, and basically ALL of Denver's weapons aren't getting open. I wouldn't blame this on Manning, not yet anyway. Just a very poor showing for Denver. The only bright spot for them has been the run D, but Bailey has been beaten several times and given them free third downs. Seattle is just killing it right now defensively. You can't quite count out Denver because of their O potential + Seattle's O sitll looking shaky, but if Seattle's D keeps just playing half as good as they were, this game is already over.
  7. Good players score in the slot when they have time to shoot, especially considering Luongo was also screened by a bad Bieksa block attempt and Edler casually skating by his view leading up to it. Just because our players choke constantly in good scoring areas doesn't mean it happens to other skilled players. There's a reason Sharp has 28 goals. He doesn't miss from there very often. Anyone blaming Luongo for recent games, or even anyone blaming Lack when he was giving up goals before Luongo came back is just a goalie troll. The defense has been breaking down with all the extra playing time. Plus, Luongo has had some of the worst bounces recently.
  8. Luongo hasn't even been palying bad. Tons of bad bounces the last few games. Not his fault at all tonight. Sharp goal could've been saved but you EXPECT your good players to score in the open in the slot. Sharp is obviously playing far better than Kesler and Sedin. Good players will score there alone. No fault to our goalies at all, not to Luongo in the last few, and Lack when he was giving up goals before Luongo came back from injury. Our injuries on defense have been catching up in the bigger minutes we eat up, they have not been playing well at all.
  9. Was getting curious about Titanfall and the Xbox one with all the hype surrounding it, and over popular people on youtube. Found out that Microsoft is paying off popular channels and licensing groups on youtube to give extra money to people who mention xbox one in a positive way without saying they're paid to do so. Suddenly, the reason why so many positive people on youtube are hyping Titanfall, while a lot of other gaming sites and forums and message boards are trashing it and making fun of it. I'm sure Sony has done the same kind of thing, but at least they haven't been caught trying to be sneaky fracks with this kind of thing and youtube just yet. Long story short, don't buy into hype about either console or the games in general right now if you rely on youtube or social media for information on games.
  10. There should be a firmware update you can grab off the site that lets you play with the headsets on the PS4. I think anyway.
  11. Honestly all things considered the Xbox One is doing pretty well after they disaster in E3 and such. They cracked a million on the first day still, just as PS4 did. Granted, they did it worldwide, and PS4 did it in just the US and Canada alone. I think they moved about 750-850k in the NA, which isn't much less than the PS4. What will be very interesting to see what happens next week when the PS4 comes out in some other places. If it sells huge numbers, then PS4 will ahve dealt the first blow. But the One really needs to continue selling in the NA market. The NA market will be their bread and butter. If the PS4 continues to sell just as much or more over here, then most things point to crushing it worldwide, because most of the PS3's market was rest of world, particuarly and obviously Europe and Japan.
  12. Luongo stole the NJD game somewhat recently. He's actually been really good. His rebound control has improved leaps and bounds out of no where for the most part. While I will agree that sometimes he can give up a weak goal, he's made SEVERAL big, key, and timely saves during this losing streak as well. He stopped several odd man rushes, breaks, and penalty shots all year. When your goalie has a save % over .900 in 5 losses, you know something else is messed up. Early in the season, it was the defense. Recently, it's been the offense. But I will say, I am getting tired of our team defense leaving people alone in the slot for free one timers in the high slot or tap ins down low. It's ridiculous. We have to give up some of the most great A scoring chances in the league every game.
  13. EA was trolling Sony saying that the firmware glitched their games, but the PC launch for BF4 was also crap as well with errors and glitches everywhere. I honestly think it's less the PS4 and PC and more just EA being a crap company with games at times. After the PC and PS4 now, I seriously hope for the sake of Xbox One fans getting the game they have their crap sorted.
  14. Looks like Sony has said so far it's 0.4% of consoles with issues, it looks like a majority are dying during the download (Not surprising at all considering how many people are probably going for it), or they have a faulty HDMI jack. If you have a PS4, check the HDMI jack before you put a cable in. Look to see if there's a raised piece of metal inside, if there is, try to flatten it out and it should slide in and work fine. If you run into a bricked one that just won't work, you might have to exchange. There's things you can try to do, like try to take out the HD and enter safe mode, but I'd probably just exchange it since they're doing it for free. So yeah. Check the HDMI slot of the ps4 before you try to plug anything in. You're apparently able to flatten out a piece of metal that's sticking out and causing the problem.

  16. Looks like a specific taco bell promo or something have some faulty PS4's, and some very early retail ones had some faulty HDMI slots. Doesn't seem to be actual bricking, but a faulty HDMI jack might as well have been. Going to be very interesting to see if it's as isolated as they say or mostly just a select few of the early release ones. I'd be very cautious of Xbox fans trying to jump on this, unless it ends up being a LOT of consoles when release hits, as in, more than just a few since it could easily happen to them as well.Though, this is a perfect example of why I avoid buying launch consoles. I wouldn't be surprised if some PS4's had issues, as well as Xbox One units of the crippling variety. Also, the graphics stuff is funny. People ragging on Xbox for lower resolution, then ragging on PS4 for reported framerate stutters. Launch titles. I am sure that both systems will be much better off as they go on. Not going to see the best the Xbox one can offer so early, and not going to see the hardware difference as much in the PS4 so early.

    Tennis

Nadal is almost a lock at clay, and it looked like he'd eclipse Federer for a good while. But with Federer simply just getting older, and Nadal being given all the injury problems, it's finally lowered them both to the point where other people can play on equal ground. Sometimes anyway. I think it'd honestly be hard for Nadal to win 5 to catch up to Federer. His knees on top of his style of play will really hurt him as the years pass. Though, I guess he could. And I wouldn't really be surprised if Federer snuck in another win somewhere. He's an amazing shot maker. Guys with that type of skill always age just a little better than the guys who play like Nadal.
  18. The rumors say the better prices and nokinect bundles are for the summer, which by then the PS4 might price cut to keep ahead anyway. Right now, the only thing going for the xbox one is the fact that they might have 2-3x more units in stock launch day available. That could help. But sales charts, analytics, surveys, they all say Sony will likely sell about 50% more units, which falls in line with sales around amazon and gamestop that's been seen so far with an at times 2:1 edge for the PS4. PS4 will either need to have a crapty launch, be it by stock, or glitchy console for the xbox one to really keep up even in the big picture. The xbox one will basically have to sell an extraordinary amount in the States, because they have pretty much isolated out the rest of the world with the TV restrictions and lack of support in a lot of areas. The thing is, a lot of the crowd in NA right now is pro-PS4. If sony keeps up in NA, it's over basically. It's highly unlikely xbox one will win the world battle.
  19. The big thing for me however was.. during that reveal. All the sports crap, the streaming stuff, their TV services.. almost all of that isn't even going to work for people outside of the US because of copyright stuff and the like. Like I said before, unless they have a huge E3 showing, they've been burying themselves to gamers, and especially to people outside of the US so far.
  20. Yeah. 8GB of ram, but 3 are dedicated to all the OS stuff alone. It's far less about gaming and them trying to grab a TV/'entertainment box' type of thing.
  21. http://www.slashgear.com/xbox-one-used-games-policy-leak-claims-limited-discounts-and-publisher-cut-24283449/ Rage inducing. Been leaked that Microsoft is going to only allow retailers to sell used games at a 10% discount. Meaning, that used games will almost be full price. You also can't loan a friend a game unless you log onto their xbox with your own profile, or else you will have to pay the fee. IT also means you HAVE to sell your games to the companies. So 'used games' still exist.. but basically at full price. Because on top of the cut MS and the game company makes, it will be marked up mroe for the company to make it as well. This is nasty and I hope the PS4 doesn't do exactly the same type of thing, or at least lessens it. I am not surprised at all that wii sales have spiked up and Sony stocks rose up a lot and the PS4 is getting momentum. The fact you have to be able to connect to the internet at least once every 24 hours to validate crap on top of this used game farce and the foricng of kinect is just insane.
  22. Wouldn't the multiple OS end up eating through the RAM though? Should be noted, Australian EB game site had a placeholder price of the Xbox one at $899. Game sites mess up all the time but with all the TV and sport crap, $899 might unfortunately be close to what to expect for the new generation consoles.
  23. Galkai allows Sony to get PS1-PS3 games on a Cloud and emulate. It's already been said that they are aiming to use it for backwards compatibility the emulation route. Similar to what the original PS3's did for PS2 games and the like. The new Xbox has nothing really like this available to them, so.. yeah. No. There probably won't be any backwords compatibility at all unless someone makes a homebrew type thing. It seems as if PS4 and Xbox One will be coming out around the same time, where as last time I think it was almost a whole year or at least several months where the 360 had a big time advantage was which more or less was the sole reason that the PS3 struggled so much early. The real issue today was, Microsoft pissed off their core demographic. Gamers. Social media was blasting them. Sites like 4chan were blasting them. And not just normal people and gamers, the stock market also spoke by seeing a 8% spike in Sony's stock. If the PS4 and Xbox One have equal E3's, this is going to be a huge, potentially fatal blow to them. They basically need to steal the show by a wide margin at E3, or the media and general voice of the gamers on sites and twitter will pretty much turn on the 360. People are fickle these days, and they basically crap the bed pretty badly with this announcement. While they have a lot of potential for TV junkies and the like, like it's a new DVR.. well.. TV companies and others already have that. Most people already have that. It's a very risky move. You basically threaten the bulk of your sales in gamers, and hope to grab a bunch of others to make up for it almost. It couldn't of really gone much worse as far as a reveal goes. Not to mention.. all this movie, and sports crap? Well, guess what.. with all the crap involving copyright and such in Canada? Just like how Canadian Netflix blows compared to US? Some of the TV crap they're aiming for.. might not even matter for us.
  24. It was a bunch of TV talk. They actually crash and burned so hard that they drove Sony's stock up by 8% in an hour. Sony pulled it off way better, way earlier. What little gameplay they did show was crap. The system is pretty generic and fat looking too. They need a killer E3.
  25. They did talk about 15 exclusives or something. But.. they really needed to show that. You can't tank a reveal like that so badly. When you drive up Sony's stock by 8% in an HOUR because of how badly your presentation was, something went horribly wrong. They need to have a ridiculously big splash at E3 to recover from that. It's like all over twitter and gaming sites. It was a huge flop. They made a lot of people look at Sony. It was just a disaster. They should've just waited until E3 and done the reveal there. It would've been the talk of the show. Now they need Sony to drop the ball, or to somehow pull off a huge upset there.
