This is dumb. Why?!?

Brilliant move by his agent. Will put up filthy numbers on that Powerplay then ask for $9-10m.

What about instead of 5 minutes making 20 minutes.
I like this idea. Really removes a ton of ice time for the fighters which will directly impact their stats which relates directly to paycheques. Gotta make it REALLY worthwhile to fight.

Yeah, we're still tiny and need better 2 way players. Our small guys are skilled though and pretty hard working. We should be competitive even though we won't win it all.
Really need Podkolzin to take some big strides this season. He's only listed at 6'1 190lbs, but he looks WAY bigger and can hit like a freight train.
Still wish there was a way for Allvin and co to trade for Crouse. He'd be a great fit in the middle 6.

Some players come here with too much hype like OEL, Dickinson and Stillman.
Some of those types come here and quit with their compete levels. Let's see what they can do first.
So just a little of buyer beware.
Will they be good Canucks.
I agree with this. I am happy with the signing, but a little skeptical as the why Detroit (a bottom feeder) is letting so many pieces go.

He’s almost as good as Datsyuk. Datsyuk was the most incredible player to watch imo. The things he could do and how exceptional he was at stealing pucks….
But ya I’d agree Stone is the best the last 10 yeara, idk how the hell Stone hasnt won a god damn Selke.
Health issues and Bergeron have kept him from getting the respect he deserves.
Now guys like Barkov, Hishchier and Petey will surpass him. Like Luongo, who was a Vezina level goalie, he just happened to play at the same time as one of the all time greats.

I would like to disagree as well but unfortunately the past tells a different story. Just look at this year with Tkachuk getting injured, Florida was not the same with him not being his "rugged angry canandian" self.
I would not list Luongo in that category, I see him as being on the softy side, mentally anyway.
Imagine if we had Mitchell or Hamhuis as our Captain? I think we would have been a very different team.
I wish Beauvillier was just a few inches taller and a couple of pounds heavier.
I agree on Beau, just needs to be a tad bigger.
Unfortunately to get the rugged Canadian impact player, it's going to have to be via trade. Not much available. Unless they want to sign Toews> LOL

too much swedish and european on this team tbh. We are lacking that 1 core rugged angry canandian that'll drag the team into war. most if not all the recent stanley cup winners have that player.. a Canadian, a leader, have a nasty side, a important core player, one that will lead by example and drag the team into war.
vegas Mark stone, Pietrangelo
colorado Mackinnon Makar
Tampa point, stamkos
st louis o'reilly schenn pietrangelo
chicago keith toews
pittsburgh crosby letang fleury
washington is the only team that doesn't really have a canadian core leader on the team.. Vancouver doesn't even have a single canadian on the team that is an impact player let alone core player.. we simply don't like drafting canadians
As much as I'd like to disagree with this, I can't. I was hopeful Horvat was that guy, then he went soft.
Even our BEST teams had a few of those guys: Linden, Luongo, Burrows, Hamhuis, Mitchell.
Maybe it's Beauvillier?

Pavel was strong but Dave Babych was literally the strongest player in the NHL.
Heck yea.

Podz will find his role this year. He’s ready.
I predict he will flank Miller and the two will be highly effective. If Boeser can get his wrister sorted out… that’ll be a lethal line.

Oilers will grab him.

He doesn't seem like a Tocchet type to me.
He's hard enough on himself, he's a carrot guy that will never need to recieve the stick.
He also has talent above anything Rick had. He saw how the coach treated Kuz ....I bet it gives him some pause for consideration.
I don't know about your assessment. Tocchet played on the 1993 Cup winning Penguins team and outscored Ron Francis and Jagr.
Then he moved over to LA and played alongside the Great One and outscored Jari Kurri.
He played hard nosed and got a lot of PIMS but he was a talented player and knew how to work with 2 of the top 5 offensive players of all time. Petey also went on a tear following the coach change and put himself into Selke talks. I think Petey continues to elevate with him coaching.
Kuzmenko could be held to a higher standard than he was playing away from the puck. Tocchet may see something special in him where he can help elevate his line mates more by playing more physical as a winger... just like he did himself.

I’ve always wanted Foote here.
Might not be a great fit with his Dad on staff, but if they can make it work and Cal views it as a “last chance” it could be a perfect storm.

Somewhere Jim Benning is salivating.

Great signing. Good leadership, tough as nails. Can play in the middle 6. Will make teams think twice about running at Bedard.

Good. Was Gimmicky anyway, seemed like a cash grab to sell a few sweaters.
Now just bring back the Skate jersey full time.

Woah, they need to burn it down it seems.

Come back Luke. Your home is with us.

Columbus looks poised for a big comeback. Lots of good players, great prospect pool, and grabbing Leo at 3 will be huge. They are going to push for playoffs in my opinion. Just need to stay healthy.

If they can't swing a deal with CBJ, then there isn't a fit anywhere. Nobody has cap.
