  1. I'm not saying it's an option, Jack has been a little up and down. Smallish, with a contract that may or not be a good one in the long term. EP for Jack Hughes. Would you do it?
  2. Those outlet passes, oh my. Seems to have found a fit in Calgary, but his last couple years here were dreadful. I don't miss him at all either.
  3. As do the players, fans. I sure hope he stays. Such a nice fit with Hughes.
  4. The effort and compete level of the team since Green was fired is off the charts. They just close gaps, get sticks on pucks so well. Just a pleasure to watch.
  5. Does Schenn win a car with that shot! Right in the middle of the plywood.
  6. Big Hoglander fan. I'd be choked if JR traded him and I doubt it's even being considered. What I see in Hogs is a great player waiting for the game to slow down in his mind, how he interprets the NHL game. He will eventually have it seem slower in his mind and will realize the time he has. When to go hard, when not. He's a big keeper imho.
  7. Oh ya, I remember that , my wife caught it as well. Embarrassing really.
  8. Cassie Cambell led that parade. I remember now why I channel surf at intermission during Hockey Night in Canada. They are embarrassing themselves.
  9. Will be interesting to see if JR makes the odd call here and there to NHL offices. He's been running a darling team for so long he will be shocked to see the crap that is called and levied against the Canucks. Myers hit wasn't even a penalty ffs!
  10. Garland is a ball of dynamite who puts up points on a good contract. I see no reason to trade him unless there is a replacement in the works. Love what this player brings.
  11. I mean, there were a lot of valuable players in Protocol last three weeks?!
  12. I hope JR, and the new GM, pro scouts can get a better handle on evaluating NHL talent. JB et all had way too many misses with evaluating pro players, Miller aside. That was a grand slam.
  13. This. The player Myers hit tucked his head in. How is that Myers fault. Crap call, and a major too boot.
  14. Unfortunately I keep waiting on some offence from Dickenson, but nothing. Those hands. The new GM has had a lot of success with bottom six players. I'm guessing Dickinson will be under his microscope moving into the deadline and off season. With his contract, he's worth little, unfortunately. Maybe even waiver fodder on a pre arranged deal where someone is going to for sure pick him up.
  15. One thing I see looking at Kappo and AL, both should of played a year in the minors. Drives me nuts when teams rush kids into the NHL.
  16. I do agree. There has to be a concrete prospect coming back. If it's a struggling prospect the support pieces have to be better. I'm going to trust JR on it. He knows the importance of this deal for the franchise.
  17. I agree Miller is worth more. Does he get more, not sure. It's a high first, so meh. Schneider is a good prospect, but could be Bryan Allan. Which is ok, but ya, I get what your saying. I challenge anyone to find a more intriguing center, cap friendly player, that has been available in recent years, than Miller. Will be real interesting to see how it unfolds.
  18. Perhaps. I do like the idea of a deal built around Schneider. He fits our needs best. But one of their recent top pick wingers, then deal of Brock, or Brock and a first that may accompany the wingers for a D would work too.
  19. Is Miller worth more than that? I'd say yes. Perhaps the best center at trade deadline in recent years. I fear it's more a market thing. Like having the nicest car at an auction, but the wallets in the audience are only so full. Could always just keep Miller I suppose. One thing for sure, I believe in JR to milk what he can out of a deal.
