  1. I just cant believe how tough it is for NHL teams to get bigger, while maintaining the proper skill level. Canucks aren't alone in trying to improve overall team size, and grit .
  2. I like him at wing, which I believe he's been used more as by BB. He wins his share of battles, defensively down low. Hands of stone, which makes him somewhat overpaid. But he's hardly the issue on the team imho.
  3. One can hope. Sounds easy enough, but maybe it isn't, as it hasn't happened yet. . To solve the issue Canucks have to draft with this in mind imho.
  4. I disagree. Dickenson is the kind of player we need more of. He isn't easy to play against.
  5. Lockwood, in the system and needing a spot, may make sense to move Motte. Love Motte, but field offers, price him high, see what happens imho.
  6. Good point. To add to it, better to lose against the East than these teams you've listed. Believe.
  7. Oilers more like toilet paper. First three or four sheets are clean, the rest of the roll is soiled and useless.
  8. Can't help but think of Pocklington when you say that. Lol.
  9. Your forgetting Draisatel. He has the same passport, visa, as McD in that he has no idea how to play inside his own blue line.
  10. Best thing about this thread, is that it needed to be it's own thread! Lol, suck it Coilers.
  11. For sure. It would be such a difficult trade to make. He's worth a lot. But you gut your team, prospect pool to get him.
  12. You gotta think if the Oilers slide continues that McD will want out of Edmonton this summer. That would look so good on that fan base.
  13. I hope your right about Bo. I love the guy, respect his game so much, that I would respect his decision either way.
  14. EP and BB are worth little with their contracts. I could see JT traded, if the return is as good as it should be. Bo, love the guy too much to even think it. But one has to wonder if he wants to extend with this team.
  15. Trade for a star? What would a 10.5 million dollar star cost us? Sign a star, forget it, he would be too old by the time the team is ready to compete. I simply see no reason to trade a player, with EP's skill set, at his lowest value. The option to basically give him away will always be there. Be very leary of giving up on a skilled youngster like Petey too early.
  16. For sure. I broke my wrist in a couple spots when I was 20. Took forever to heal up. I'm a tradesmen and it felt off for years. I know that's kind of a lame comparison to an elite athlete, but people underestimate just how mobile our wrists are when healthy.
  17. I disagree full domination. Close to equal shots. Petey with a post, that goes in and the PP connects on one and it's closer. We deserved to lose, but it wasn't domination.
  18. This isn't Xbox. What do you suppose EP is worth right now? Maybe a late first which equals a crap shoot. Maybe another teams project. No thanks. You definitely ride it out and see where it goes. Heck, if he sucks this bad next year he won't be worth much less, if any less. A former, struggling, young, Calder winner will always be worth something. That something and what he's worth now isn't that much of a difference. So just keep him.
  19. Layoff hurt the teams MoJo for sure. The new GM is getting a good look at this lineup. Rutherford's cup experience will be vital here as I feel he is already seeing the changes needed. EP looked better. He's our player so get used to it as no way he gets traded playing like this. Too much upside to trade him and it would be stupid to do so. JR will be busy this summer me thinks.
  20. Why would Dallas trade Heiskanen? Not a chance they move him.
