  1. Tripping, interference. Whatever. These Cali teams get away with so much of that. Good call.
  2. Maybe the new coach sticks with it. Green would of broken that line up ten minutes into the first.
  3. I would guess Smyl doesn't have complete control of the ship. He probably has to run any trades through a series of management peers. One would hope anyways. Smyl is the person, some person is needed, to be the primary point of contact for other GM's.
  4. For every Eakins, there are probably as many or more first time coaching failures to never coach in the NHL again. Green will probably have to reestablish himself in the AHL. He was an average coach there to begin with. I really don't see what the fuss is with Green.
  5. Do it Smyl, Aqua, Twins, whoever is in charge of this. Pick up the Nash.
  6. Watching Zak right now with Philly. Doing well and happy for him.
  7. Music to my ffnn ears. Hope they can accomplish that someday.
  8. Was thinking of JB today. He did lots of good things. But the bad, was just too bad. I think of Jake, OJ, re-hiring Green and Baumer, Loui, some other debatable signings. If he even batted 500 on those mistakes he'd still be GM. Tough business but he absolutely had his chance and it absolutely didn't end well.
  9. Haha, was thinking the same thing. Really though, we could us both.
  10. Different types of leaders though. All excellent in their own way. The fact that Trevor absolutely loved and respected the twins should speak volumes The best endorsement Henrik could ever have really.
  11. Sure, the jersies of that era were my least favorite anyways, yuk.
  12. I sure hope so. Nice suits, but his reign in Montreal very much resembles JB's here. Not a good enough resume in my opinion.
  13. My thoughts exactly. Been thinking and I have my reservations the coaching change will even make a difference. Maybe at first, but I wouldn't be suprised if we still finish bottom five in the NHL. We still don't have grest PK guys on the roster, I don't see EP and BB turning it around till off season. EP needs to get stronger, BB faster. That's what the off sesaon is for. Hamonic doing his thing is still an issue as it has Poolman playing too many minutes. I like the move, getting rid of Green et all, if for nothing else to provide some hope and new direction. I see us still way out of a playoff spot at the deadline, JT being dangled as trade bait and moved for a good return. Drafting top 5. I'm fine if this is how it unfolds.
  14. Don't want to kick Green when he's down but I doubt he ever lands an NHL gig again. Maybe after winning in the AHL. He has been below average here and this particular season looked real bad on him.
  15. First thing I thought of when I heard BB was coach. His swearing from 24/7, and the mustard on his face from the hotdog he just ate.
  16. He wasn't the biggest guy, but wasn't afraid to chuck em. Knew his role. Edit, Walker.
