  1. I as well, but I am operating on hindsight, and still batting only .500
  2. I listened to him a lot on Siruis NHL Network. He was great and I always looked forward to hearing him. I'm betting the players are excited, and will want to play for him.
  3. I'm ok with most anything if the new coach and possible new management get this team tougher to play against. JB failed miserably at it. Eight years and soft as ever.
  4. Not sure how I feel about it. I love that Bruce is a veteran coach. I like that he coaches tougher than he looks. He's going to want a tougher team so there will be changes down the road. He is kind of a wide open style coach, isn't he? Not sure if that's what the team needs.
  5. Lol. Anyone else continually checking back here as well to see if any coaching changes have taken place yet?
  6. Yip. It's one thing of your fourth liners struggle. But when the players you've hitched the wagon to are this bad, there's no hope. I'd like to know how the physical conditioning tests for EP and BB went to start the year. Both lost speed and strength this year. That's just inexcusable.
  7. OEL is a top pairing dman. Absolutely. He looked very good to start the year and has maybe regressed a little. But pretty much the entire team has so let's be reasonable. Happy to have a smooth skating vet like him and I'm suprised by his physicality actually. Garland and OEL are not the problems this year, not at all. Coaching, EP, BB, Hamonic, special teams, waiver losses. Those are the problems.
  8. With all the crap going on with our beloved team you want to go off on an antivax tangent? Really?
  9. Green, Baumer should have coached their last Canucks game a long time ago. I'm fine with Shaw as interim coach till the right replacement is hired. Maybe, maybe Trotz gets fired this spring.
  10. It's been a tough run and lots of blame to go around, but here we are. Fact is the season is a write off. There are plenty of positives and young skill on this team and it's too late to hit the panic button, the team is past that and into damage control time. I say fire Green and Baumer to at the very least save the players from more of the same pain. JB has to be handcuffed from making trades. Next, hire an experienced President of Hockey Opps as soon as possible to start evaluating. No panic with this as I see no need for immediate trades and I want to see the best man there as possible. Perfect scenario would be a POHO in place a month before the trade deadline. There will be offers and possible bidding wars for some of the players and management should be ready to field offers. This will all require some patience as fans but starts with a change in coaching. A change that is long, long overdue.
  11. If this happens, I'm out till there are new owners. I don't like making statements like that but if that's what they do, I'm out. Playoffs aren't happening, period. As a fan, at least give me the draft pick and what may be a very high one at that.
  12. I don't get why a lot of the pundits defend Green. I've even heard the term "he won't be out of a job long". Why? His AHL record is average, NHL record is below average. He's never won a championship at any level. I don't see the draw.
  13. So true. EP and BB are a big part of what's gone wrong this year. When your studs turn to duds, it's disastrous.
  14. Ya. I'm not on or off the Mellanby train but he played a tough style. Maybe he would improve that end of things. Really though I'd prefer to see an experienced GM. Easy to say, a lot tougher to do though.
  15. I can't do that. Win, lose, I know when the Canucks are playing and look forward to it. Brutal, I know.
  16. Outshot, out played. Score wise the Canucks were in it, but the Pens gained our zone and kept the puck there at will. Our team has no breakout, no transition, no hitting.
  17. News update. Debrusk requests trade to anywhere but Vancouver.
  18. Twitchy had a better win percentage with Chaput and Megna. Brutal.
  19. Back at you buddy. Tough times for all of us that care and love this franchise.
  20. And that's with a really, really good, world class goalie. Let that sink in folks.
