  1. I'm good with Hughes but I would of went with JT if it were my choice. Probably wouldn't of been a good idea though. JT as captain = dating one of those crazy chicks. It's entertaining as hell, but never ends well. Lol.
  2. Another example of lastnameitis. Dad played = son drafted higher than he should of.
  3. New partner has to be Tenille. You know, he's captain now.
  4. Gotcha. Still stand by the lack of brain cell thing though. Lol.
  5. Oh brother. Should rename their podcast to Spittin Brain Cells. What few they have left.
  6. I love Miller. He looks like he's leaving this news conference to go work on his roof. Love him and how he hates losing. My kind of guy.
  7. We are a beaten fan base. A whooped dog of a fan base. Lol.
  8. How can you not love this player, that smile? In all the downs and misses with this organization, Kuz is a bright, bright pickup.
  9. I'm sure Calgary will make an offer. Ex Canuck and all.
  10. I really like them. They are the only other Canadian team I can cheer for, good fans
  11. I'm old school and I just don't like this kids style. I remember Shremp and Zegras is way better at hockey, but I really don't care for the circus stuff.
  12. Absolutely. If the Canes didn't have those injuries I bet they beat Florida. Something about the Canes. Their style just screams playoff success and it's bound to happen, imho.
  13. This is a gamble and I get the idea, but way too much, too long. Meh, just not something I would want my team doing.
  14. Canucks fans making a mountain out of molehill, lol. Always and forever.
  15. Shutting this down would suck arss. I had an ultimate plan in place after winning a cup. We rent a convention room and we all meet up with our user name tags on. Would be a blast and would love to shake hands and celebrate a cup together over some beverages.
  16. Ya, serviceable is pushing it. One has to wonder if he would of found his game if healthy though. Rightys aren't easy to aquire. One thing for sure, JB's staff sucked at NHL player scouting. A lot of misses and not nearly enough hits.
  17. Nice to see the Bruins shopping in the bargain bin.
  18. 2.5 per for a serviceable dman is fine. Too bad injuries and Covid curtailed his career.
  19. Does the NHL even acknowledge the advantage that teams in low-tax cities seem to have? I've never heard anyone in the media actaully ask the question to Bettman, but I can only imagine the slimeball answer he'd reply with though. You would think the GM's around the NHL are bringing it up in meetings. I did hear Doug Armstrong bring it up in an interview and he definitely had concerns with the process.
  20. Yip. This inequity is an issue for sure. Why bother with a hard salary cap if in reality, take-home pay can vary like it does.
  21. Yip. Fans get too fixated on points. So much more to the game as in Dzone play, takeaways, board play, possession play that don't show up on the scoreboard. High end players like the twins for example, ruled the boards and dominated possession stats. I will take that over a floater that puts on a great show when he has the puck any day. For bottom nine players I want some points, but points mean nothing if a player can't win the puck back or make a smart play to keep possession. Players like Gourde and Marchessault. These guys will win you championships over guys like Nylander. Garland is a good story, but a better fit elsewhere and I would rather see Pods or Hogs get his ice time.
