How good is this team? So good the casual, fairweather Canuck fans are gonna start popping up, the ultimate compliment. The ones who are only fans when the team is winning. Not like us Canuck Board members. We know who Rafferty is if he plays next game, we know what OJ has gone through to play a game this year, we know Brock's, Stetcher's, Jacob's ordeals with their fathers. We know foundational players, we know JB for his bad and good, we know crap lottery luck. I salute this team for making me proud to be a Canuck fan since 82 and my fellow diehards on this board. We all deserve some success!

Canucks need to learn from what Calgary has done so far. Matching up against a bigger, more physical team you can't beat them by joining them. Pick your spots to fight back but the team will just need to absorb some crap. Beat them with skill and speed. We have that on them, especially through the bottom six imho.

[Report] Dan Hamhuis announces retirement

Congrats on a career to be proud of Dan. -
Exactly. There is a chance the change in scenery changes Jake's attitude. Sucks for us if it happens, insert ghosts of Neely here. Who knows, if Jake can hang around on 1.5 million dollar contracts for a few more years he could be a cheap option for JB. Another 20 goal campaign though and 1.5 million per year will be in his rear view mirror. In the end if it came between losing Guadette or Jake to Seattle, I'd sooner lose Jake.

Yip. Kid just doesn't want to mature. If OJ can be a player, he seems to be headed in the right direction now, it will lessen the sting of the first round disappointment of Jake. Good chance Seattle takes him as I doubt we waste our time protecting him. Too many let downs with Jake vs the great moments.

I agree in that the Blues controlled play once in the o zone for sure. Their cycle and puck possession is tough to break. Keys to series haven't changed. PP, Marky, Canucks team speed. Blues looked slow tonight. Will this change? I'm not convinced. I think they are beatable. Bennington looks average, they look slow. One game though so I will just enjoy it.
