    You've been booped.
  5. Yeah, I feel it'd take a Kuzmenko+Myers package. Cap doesn't work then.
  6. Yeah I can't see what Carolina would want from the Canucks unless they feel a guy like Podkolzin or Hoglander could help them immediately. They don't exactly have a lot of cap space to work with either. Canucks retaining 50% on Myers would only free up $1M for them assuming Pesce is coming the other way.
  7. I'll post here for now cuz my IT department has blocked forumcanucks.com (due to it being a newly registered domain )... Good move by Allvin. Unloaded the Pearson contract and brought in a viable backup for the cost of a 3rd round pick. I'll take it. Would have been better to see Myers moved instead though.
  8. Dunno if Stealth has the capacity to do it, but I'm sure he could export the data from this forum and import it into the new forum. Just not sure if it'd be worth his efforts. That'd be a lot of work.
  9. Oh no! I can't access forumcanucks.com at work! IT has a block on newly registered domains
  10. You gotta tell us how u manage to post news so damn quick... or train somebody else to do it lol
  11. We need to speak his language... WWW.FORUMCANUCKS.COM !!!!!
  12. Come to the new forum! www.forumcanucks.com
  13. AI is incredible these days. Can even evoke emotion now. Amazing. In all seriousness, somebody make sure to remove the batteries before moving him to the new forum.
  14. Somebody make sure @-Vintage Canuck-has his GPS changed to join the new forum. Or take his batteries away and physically move him
  15. Brutal decision. Great way to alienate passionate fans.
  16. I was never very high on Virtanen, that might be why I feel more disappointed with Juolevi. When I look at Virtanen with the Hitmen, I saw a player that was physically more mature than his peers, and so that made a difference in him producing in the WHL. But when you actually look at his production, he had that 1 good season of 45 goals in 71 games, and a PPG. The other seasons he was at most a 30 goal scorer ... in the WHL. Not sure why people expected him to score 30+ goals in the NHL. I figured 20 to 25 goals would be his absolute ceiling, but he didn't even reach those numbers. With Juolevi, I saw a #1 defenceman that anchored the blueline for the Knights and the Finland teams. He had all the tools to be that bonafide #1 anchor defenceman. He simply couldn't translate it to the NHL (injuries had a lot to do with it). I felt Juolevi's ceiling was much higher than Virtanen.
  17. Such a disappointment... I think it's more disappointing how Juolevi turned out than how Virtanen did.
  18. If we win a cup with Quinn at the helm, we'll know the big Irishman was part of the reason. Meant to be as they say.

    Captaincy

I'd be really happy with Hughes as captain. I remember seeing an interview where Brock, Hughes, and Petey were all on the panel and the media was asking targeted questions to Brock that got him super emotional over his dad. Hughes stepped in and basically asked them to move on. From that moment, my hope would be that he'd be named captain.
  20. A quick Google search tells me that a luxury tax doesn't do a whole lot to bring equity and parity amongst teams in regards to the cap. It just penalizes teams that want to spend way more than other teams. Thanks though.
  21. I don't follow the other sports, but I assume the MLB, NBA, etc have caps too. Do they care at all about tax differences?
  22. Larkin shouldn't even be in discussion. Him starting at the blueline is like a 1/4 mile drag race where a car gets a rolling start vs another car that's standing still lol
