We don't know. What I do know is this franchise has given away players that we know work well with the team. We've always regretted it. Mitchell, Tanev, Toffoli to name a few.
Yeah I think it's extremely rare cuz most teams are not willing to give up the farm. It's not so much that a team isn't willing to trade the guy. The cap world makes picks and prospects super valuable, so it's really difficult for these trades to happen.
Different world in the NHL. The talent is so watered down now that you don't just trade away a top 10 scorer without pain.

Ive shown it lots of times Alf. We could keep this entire team together and still upgrade RHD by acquiring a top 4 UFA. We'd probably move one of Boeser or Garland anyways, so it doesn't matter.
Yeah I'd have a heckuva time trying to find any team that traded away a top 10 scorer in their prime. That's probably the dumbest thing any team could do.
