  1. Ok careful guys... you know what they say, the 5 goal lead is the most dangerous lead in hockey. Edit: 6 goal lead is the most dangerous...
  2. Isn't it obvious? We could get some picks and prospects for him. Who knows, one of them could turn into a player like JT Miller.

  4. If he accepts something under $8M for 5 or 6 years, then he will be in the Ring of Honour one day.
  5. I'm in the minority I think, but I actually like having OEL on the D core. He provides insurance in case Hughes is injured. Clearly OEL is capable of way more, so hopefully we find him a RHD partner that allows him to unleash his offence.
  6. What sucks is that i could see Quinn wanting to join his brothers once he hits UFA status...
  7. I'd argue Bo has really turned his game around. Heck, he's a 30+ goal scoring centre now. Not many of those around.
  8. Demko has been 'good' but not 'great' for many games now. This team has been an offensive juggernaut the past 4 games. The PP is deadly, and surprisingly, the PK has been good as well. Hope it continues. Like others have said, it's that Top 6 that is hot right now.
  9. I still think that's too much for Boeser, and the way Bo has been playing, if he continues this into next year, he's gonna command over $7M easily.
  10. This thread and the article was about Miller being traded. Fiala as a return was a possible option. At the time, it was a real possibility that Miller was gonna be traded. Heck, it still is a real possibility. The other article is about Theodore. It's not gonna happen. That's why nobody has started any discussion nor threads about it. In fact, if you actually read the article, it's not even specifically pinpointing Theodore to be moved for cheap. It brings up several different options for VGK to be cap compliant... THIS YEAR. The article was from Nov 2021. There are ZERO rumours about Theodore being moved. That's why it annoyed me when the fellow poster made it sound like Theodore could be had for cheap, just to try and make a point that cap space means you can acquire franchise players for peanuts. Miller was luck. He wasn't a Top 10 1C when we acquired him. He was a 3rd line (maybe 2nd line) winger.
  11. Because the facts in the article were correct. Fiala was slumping, and he's an upcoming UFA. Miller was on the trading block due to cap issues. That particular article on Theodore is speculation that lacks substance. Theodore is a franchise defenceman spoken in the same breath as Hughes. Martinez could be traded to 20 other teams outside his mNTC. Dadonov was traded until they realized the paperwork issue -- and even then, he can be traded to 22 other teams in the final year of his contract. Again, the bottomline of all of this is that Theodore is not gonna be moved for cheap. He's a core player on Vegas. Why don't you start a new thread saying Theodore is on the move then? Nobody is stopping anybody from starting one. Reality is, nobody is starting one because it's as stupid as saying Quinn Hughes would be traded ahead of every other option on the table in Vancouver.
  12. I once heard a wise young man say: "We’ve won four in a row, but it doesn’t mean $&!# if we don’t continue on this wave."
  13. To NJ: Quinn Hughes Brock Boeser To VAN: Dawson Mercer Michael McLeod Alexander Holtz Ryan Graves Miller-Petey-Podz Garland-Bo-Mercer Pearson-McLeod-Zacha Highmore-Lamikko-Lockwood/Hogs OEL-Schenn Graves-Myers Rathbone-Dermott WIN.
  14. Yeah, in reality, a lot of the mid-tier NHLers nowadays could play for one single season and pretty much retire for the rest of their lives. Of course they couldn't live the extravagant lifestyle of fancy cars, entertainment, and over-the-top homes, but if they lived a simple life, they could. $4M is the equivalent of making $100,000 for 40 years. Let that sink in.
