  1. The team is spending all their time in the defensive zone and is generating nothing at the offensive end is somehow the D that is the problem?
  2. So I'm not allowed to respond to an article that clearly has misleading information in it? One of us has a tiny view of things... and it isn't me. But yes, please do carry on touting that the Golden Knights are gonna move Theodore before Dadonov or Martinez
  3. Oh boy, I'm looking forward to the day Miller either gets re-signed or traded... it'll be bananas on these boards lmao
  4. I'd say it depends. Tell that to Crosby, Malkin, and Staal.
  5. I'm the same... I've been taking it game by game. Tonight is different for me though. I feel it is truly a must win Game 7 situation. If they lose tonight, it really is gonna be over. Even if nothing else happens, the Canucks would be 6 points back of Dallas, LV, and LA. There's just no way that there are enough games left to make up those margins.
  6. Don't really think players have a say in where they go when they don't have a NTC or NMC
  7. That GIF makes no sense in this situation when I directly addressed the article's flaws lol Perhaps the Canucks should move Hughes to free up cap space because OEL has a NTC and Rathbone looks good.
  8. I don't think Winnipeg is done. I think they're having an off year by Scheifele and Hellebuyck. That's like the Canucks having an off year for Petey and Demko... If those 2 guys get back to their game next year, they'll be right back in the top 10 in the league. I'm certain of that.
  9. That's as speculative as it gets lmao. There's no substance to it at all. First of all, the guy doesn't even realize that Martinez has a modified NTC. Not a full NTC. By this offseason, Martinez can be moved to 20 teams in the league and have no say about it. And then he follows up with the fact Hague has a heavy shot, so that can replace Theodore You gotta admit, that's a REALLY weak argument to move one of the premiere young defencemen in the entire league ROFL.
  10. Kravtsov has really little value if at all right now. Lundkvist and a 2nd for Boeser is pretty fair. I base it off Buchnevich going for Blais and a 2nd last offseason. I think you undervalue a 23yo centre like Dubois. He carries a ton of value.
  11. I know its been said many games before... but deep down, I think we ALL know this is it. If the Canucks lose this, it is definitely all over. 6 points back of Vegas would be impossible to make up in such a short period of time. Win this one though, and there is honestly a glimmer of hope. 2 points back of Vegas, and LA Kings free-falling gives the Canucks a really serious shot at the playoffs.
  12. To NYR: Boeser To VAN: Lundkvist Kravtsov 2nd NYR are surprisingly weak on the RW. Boeser would immediately fix that for them. At a minimum, Boeser is a 20 to 25G top 6 RWer. VAN gets what they can while shedding some major cap space. Lundkvist could look very good next to a steady defender like Dermott in a couple years. Kravtsov could slot in right away. A 2nd round pick gives the Canucks a selection in Round 2 this year. And here's the big one... hear me out... To WPG: JT Miller To VAN: Pierre Luc Dubois A true hockey trade. Winnipeg's window is NOW. Look at the ages of all of their key guys up and down the lineup. They're all in the latter half of their 20s. JT Miller fits right into that age group. They go all in now and push in this window of probably 4 or 5 years to try and get it done. Pierre Luc Dubois is 23 years old and an RFA likely looking for $7M AAV. He will likely peak when the rest of the Jets are tapering off, which doesn't make sense for them. Locking him into a 5 year deal would bring him right to his prime years where he can cash in then. Dubois would be a perfect replacement for Miller, and falls right into the age group of the Canucks key guys.
  13. Eh, let's worry about it then. If Petey becomes the player he's trending towards, it won't be a concern at all
  14. It'll probably be $9M+ AAV if he continues in his trajectory. A 90pt 200ft 2-way centre in his prime? That's worth $9M+, if not more.
  15. What you actually mean is does "Anybody want Dadonov or Martinez for cheap?"
  16. Yup, I believe the new MOU has it at 120% of the AAV. Not sure where the cutoff is though since this MOU is not retroactive.
  17. Yeah, Dadonov... to one of the 22 teams NOT on his list. Maybe even Martinez since his modified NTC drops down to 12 teams by next year. That's $10M+ in cap space right there. The talk of Theodore being moved is about as stupid as the Canucks moving Hughes.
