  1. As usual I'd be fine with the calls if they were consistent. But letting things go for so long then all of a sudden calling penalty after penalty on the Canucks? Wtf changed all of a sudden?? Did Bettman call in?
  2. Gotta see it to believe it! See Evgenii Dadonov take a slap shot directly into his own net! Right here on Rogers Sportsnet!
  3. You would think... but I bet Vegas makes a post TDL deal and gets away with it and the only one hurt in all this is Dadonov.
  4. So Vegas was prepared for this outcome? WTF... they need to be seriously reprimanded for this ... yeesh...!
  5. I'm REALLY curious what happens from here on out. Gotta assume that if a player is deemed to be healthy, they NEED to be removed from LTIR. In which case, Vegas will be over the cap limit and face the consequences.
  6. Won't help them now though. They need to move someone to activate Martinez who presumably is getting healthy.
  7. Dadonov has another year left after this one Vegas is in a real mess...
  8. Ok fine, we'll take Shea Theodore from you guys to make it work for ya. Don't say we never helped you out though...

I haven't watched Richardson play in a long time other than that 4 goal outburst against us.  So no idea what he has left in the tank.  I have faith in Lockwood though.  I think he's just a young Motte.

well, he won't be the speedster on that line, but he doesn't need to be. I think they will be a good possession line, and a bit agitating. I don't expect any point production but they won't give up much either.

Now watch them go out and be a -6 tonight :picard:

Lol, I think if the team isn't -6 in GF vs GA tonight, it's a win haha

  10. Considering they had to use a 2nd to try and move Dadonov while taking on LTIR and a cap penalty player in Moore, I doubt anyone will take Dadonov off their hands now without a massive sweetener.
  11. This is Vegas we're talking about... Bettman: Vegas has been fined the maximum amount for breach of cap compliance. The team will be paying $50,000 in penalties for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. lol
  12. What can they do though? Putting Dadonov on waivers does nothing... I suspect nobody would want to pick him up anyways, otherwise he would have been moved for Future Considerations at the TDL.
  13. I do wonder what happens now. How does Vegas get cap compliant? Do they just not get to activate Martinez? That would seem like a small price to pay.
  14. Wonder what happens if a player on LTIR is healthy, but the team has no cap space?
  15. We actually barely do according to CapFriendly. $5,050,000 to be exact haha.
  16. Do you know what's happening with Vegas and Dadonov right now?
  17. Man it got quiet in here after the TDL passed lol... anyways... Assuming Vegas' trade with Anaheim is revoked, I propose that the Canucks take advantage. Vegas clearly need to clear cap. So make them pay for it. TRADE #1 To VAN: Dadonov 2023 1st Round Pick To VGK: Hoglander Vegas clears over $4M in cap doing this, it costs them a 1st, but they get a very good prospect back in Hoglander. Vancouver does this to get that 1st round pick, and really, having Dadonov in the lineup for 2022-23 isn't a big deal as we expect to take a step back next year anyways. He's off the books when Horvat needs his raise. Hoglander is clearly in the doghouse. On to the next steps... Boeser and Miller. TRADE #2 To VAN: Debrusk Lysell 2022 1st Round Pick To BOS: JT Miller Boston gets walloped this post season, so they want to load up for next year. In comes JT Miller. Vancouver gets highly touted A-tier prospect Lysell, disgruntled but effective Debrusk, and a 1st round pick. TRADE #3 To VAN: Zacha 2022 2nd Round Pick To NJD: Boeser NJD get their offensive winger for Hughes. VAN gets a decent 3C in Zacha, but also a very high 2nd round pick this year. So what does this all look like moving forward? LOTS of cap. LOTS of flexibility to improve. Canucks will also have two 1st round picks this year AND next year. They also gain a missing 2nd round pick back this year.
