  1. I don't think we'd be done there though. Boeser and Miller are probably next. Cap space will come from moving the big boys. I'd move Hoglander to Vegas for Dadonov + 1st.
  2. Dadonov isn't a useless player though. For one season, to be able to walk away from him at the same time unload a Dickinson or Poolman that is on the books for multiple years? If Dadonov plays well, could even unload him at next year's TDL with retention for a pick. Dadonov also comes off the books when Miller and Bo need raises. Makes a TON of sense. Canucks are not gonna be contenders in 2022-23 if we're truly selling guys off.
  3. For those of us with little ones under 6: https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/moderna-covid-vaccine-under-6-1.6394397 FINALLY....
  4. For some reason I read Vegas wants to bank cap space... nevermind on that one. So in theory, Poolman or Dickinson to Vegas for Dadonov wouldn't be bad idea. Clearly Vegas is desperate to unload cap.
  5. Not wanting to do the math right now, but how does bringing on Ryan Kesler ($6.875M) and John Moore ($1.625M) help when unloading Dadonov at $5M? So $8.5M in, and $5M out is making cap space?
  6. Or take on more LTIR. Doesn't help to in terms of actual cap space, but it does allow them to activate Martinez.
  7. Adding $100M to LTIR would definitely solve their problem of activating players. By that notion, the Canucks shouldn't be able to activate Poolman, but they can, and they will because they are still carrying Ferland, Sutter, and Keeper on LTIR.
  8. I must be using the wrong starting point then. I went off the daily cap hit of $96.5M. Like I showed, Dadonov alone cuts them REALLY close to be able to activate Martinez. And like I said, they're carrying extra guys on the roster, so they should be able to send somebody down to have more breathing room.
  9. I know that. But it does create the environment where they can be over the cap. That's like saying keeping Stone and Martinez on LTIR is the same as if they were activated, which clearly it's not.
  10. I just looked at Vegas' cap situation and they are EXTREMELY close to the line, and I believe they need to unload one more player or take back one player on LTIR if they want to activate Martinez. Today they are sitting with a $96,524,106 cap hit (per CapFriendly of course). If they unload Dadonov alone, they would be at $91,524,106 (or $10,524,106 over due to LTIR). Assuming Martinez is activated, they would then only have Stone and Bischoff on LTIR totalling $10,216,667. They'd be over by $307,439 as they wouldn't have enough LTIR room to make their current cap hit work. I mean, they could simply send one of their guys down to the minors I guess. That should free up the space.
  11. To Montreal he goes for Shea Weber. I wonder if Ferland's contract would be enough for them? Wouldn't mind Dadonov+2nd for Ferland. He's only got 1 more season after this one before he could walk as a UFA.
  12. If he turns into a solid 15 to 20 goal guy in the NHL, that's a win. Does anybody have a list of the top rookie goal scorers or points scorers in the SHL all-time? Nice to know the Canucks own the #1 and #2 spot now.
  13. Well done Teemu. I also like how Heffy was already on it over a month ago
  14. I'll be curious how our PK will look after this... not that it can get any worse in terms of standing in the league, but as a %, there's still plenty of room to drop lol
  15. Y'know, I find it really weird that you talk about yourself in 3rd person.
  16. I believe we could trade Boeser once the playoffs start... but only with non-playoff teams.
  17. I don't think he's worth as much as we think. Likely a B-tier prospect and a 1st. If it's an A-tier prospect, it'd be a 1-for-1. I could likely see a hockey trade with Boeser more than a prospect/pick package.
