He was never top 10 in scoring. Hence why i tried to find guys at 29 or 30 years of age that actually finished top 25 in scoring. A rare breed of player does this.
Alf, there's a lot of wasted cap on this team. Poolman, Dickinson, Halak, etc. We have guys that can play in their place for half or less than half of their cap hits. Plus the cap will go up year after year even if by only $1m for now.
What I've been trying to show is that it is very rare for a 29 to 30 year old player to be top 10 in scoring. That alone makes Miller an outlier, yet people try to group him with guys like LE or Cheechoo.
No, but if he's capable of 55 to 60pts in year 4 to 6 of his contract, that's fine as a 2nd line centre given everything else he brings to the table.
Years 1 to 3 in top 25 in scoring
Years 4 to 6 as 2nd line centre
You are incapable of accepting logic. Your mind must spin in circles all day haha
EDIT: Yknow what? I apologize. I'm not gonna resort to personal insults. I take what I said back.
Just for the record, it was some research to see what 29 or 30 year olds finished top 25 in scoring in the past 10 years or so. You know... kinda like what Miller is doing this year... kinda better to compare Miller to guys like that than Raffi Torres or Steve Bernier. Just thought it was logical.
Back to that again. I told you a billion times. Over the past 2 decades, RARELY ever does a player of his age sit top 10 in scoring. Ignoring it AGAIN. I'm done talking in circles with you. Waste of time.
I give up on trying to show logic. They are SOOOO fixated on Miller being an anchor they don't see how many other wasted cap hits exist on this roster.
They have a very solid team. I actually really like their depth up and down the lineup, but when your best player and best goalie are having off years, you'll be a bubble team. The fact they are a bubble team in spite of that says they have built a very solid team.
