  1. I do. The more birthdays he has means the closer it is to seeing his contract run out.
  2. Lind is more redundant than a Macewen or Gadjovich, so I'm OK with this.
  3. Patrick can contribute now, even if bottom 6. Glass cannot. Vegas is obviously in win now mode, so this makes plenty of sense.
  4. Locking players in long term now might not be a bad idea. Knowing the flat cap is a major issue gives some big leverage to keep the salary lower than say 3 or 4 years from now when the cap starts increasing again. Heiskanen probably gets $9m+ if not for the flat cap world.
  5. If it's 8 years for Hughes at $7.5m I'm OK with that.
  6. But which Pettersson scored, and which Pettersson had the primary assist? Pettersson, Pettersson, or Pettersson?
  7. 6 true Top-4 defencemen would be ideal. It's rare to have a bonafide franchise #1 defenceman that can eat up nearly half a game. There's only a handful in the league. Problem is if that one guy gets injured, it's game over.
  8. The fact it is debatable means he probably shouldn't be in the rafters...
  9. He has 8 playoff goals... so that makes 107... does that help?
  10. With Hughes, Rathbone, Juolevi, and Schmidt all on the left side, something had to give. Wouldn't be surprised to see Schmidt gone too and a cheaper veteran in his place to solidify the left side. The right side needs some serious work and taking Edler and Schmidt's cap hits off the books makes a huge difference.
  11. Whoa whoa whoa... hold your horses... Virtanen is in the lineup??? OP, you dare devil!
  12. Here we go... today is the last day to put a player on waivers before the Expansion Draft. It is also the deadline for players to agree to waive their NMC for the expansion draft too. Things are about to get crazy around here lol
  13. Shutdown forwards that don't produce offensively, especially in the playoffs, do not deserve more than $3M AAV.
  14. The guy had 24pts in 53gms in the regular season and 4pts in 22 playoff games. Why exactly does he think he can command over $5M AAV??? His production in the playoffs was in line with elite defenceman Zach Whitecloud.
  15. I'm just holding out hope that our vaccination program has been stronger than others. We don't have as many 2nd doses administered, but we have the most 1st doses administered in the developed world. Also catching up with the 2nd doses too as I believe we are getting close to surpassing the USA soon. The UK also likely used primarily AstraZeneca since that's where it was developed, whereas we have been primarily using Pfizer and Moderna. Those are my hopes anyways...
  16. Oh man, the UK is upto nearly 50,000 new cases in a single day! I sure hope Canada isn't in for another wave ...
  17. Thanks for the updates! Big day coming tomorrow. Should see some interesting action.
  18. Seems to have found his game again. If he keeps producing, that's excellent value.
  19. Off the list... and not named Orr or Lidstrom... Scott Niedermayer
  20. Basically a 60pt player the past couple years, but this may also be his peak as he's hitting 30yo soon. Most I would do is a 3 year deal at $4M or 4.5M. I think a GM will pay him $5M AAV for 5 or 6 years though.
