  1. Sergio .... Momesso!!! Lol
  2. You do realize since Horvat has gone, Miller has at least 1 point in every single game except 1? He has 8 points in 8 games during that span.
  3. Yeah I know. Just couldn't pass up the opportunity lol
  4. Come on guys, this isn't funny. It's clear the Leafs are gonna struggle without him. We should help where we can. Myers to TO... wootwoot
  5. That's cuz he was looking for Horvat all season. He fed a ton of assists on Horvats goals.
  6. Can't remember, but who did Detroit pick again? Give credit where credit is due man. The guy could have went with another player like the wings did.
  7. Imagine if you were a NYI fan right now. Just traded away 3 pieces (2 major pieces) for Horvat and re-signed him to 8.5m AAV. Your GM comes out and says it's too much and too long (which means he signed Bo to save face), and now Barzal is out indefinitely.
  8. My point is things can change quickly. We don't know what the future holds. What if we win the lottery? What if we find more gems through the NCAA or in Europe a la Kuzmenko?
  9. I've said it many times on here, leave it to a bunch of CDC yahoos that just can't seem to embrace what we have in a player like JT Miller. The guy scored 99 points last season, is on pace for 70+ points this season, is playing a leadership role to guys like Podz, standing up for our young guys like last night with Konecny, stepping up in other aspects like his faceoffs, and more astoundingly will very likely finish his career among the highest scoring players of ALL TIME for this franchise. Instead of embracing all that and cheering him on, these guys are ready to trade him away for a bag of pucks. No wonder players don't want to come here, and fans of this franchise are the laughing stock for the rest of the league.
  10. Gotta wonder if maybe playing with Miller regularly 5v5, and having the bumper position with 4 play drivers in Petey, Hughes, Miller, and Kuz on PP1 had something to do with Horvats production in Vancouver
  11. To think some people on here were calling Beauvillier a cap dump lmao. As of this moment, in 7 games with the Canucks he has 6 points (4 of them goals).
  12. Not a guarantee, but highly probable given the history of the cap: https://www.capfriendly.com/salary-cap Unless you think we're hitting another global pandemic, I'd put down good money that the cap continues to climb.
  13. C'mon, just throw him on LTIR too. Demko, Dermott, and OEL all to LTIR please.
  14. Man the lotto line feels so far in the past now...
  15. As all the analysts are saying, this TDL, pretty much any transaction requires cap out and cap in. I'm sure there's teams out there that want to upgrade on positions and would rather not have to take any cap back. That's where we come in for a 3 way trade. For example, let's say Toronto wants Dumba (not unrealistic since they want Myers apparently), but we know Minny doesn't want to take on any cap. So the Canucks come in here and make it work by taking on Toronto's cap dumps to facilitate the trade... basically Minny takes Liljegren out of the package and gives us Kerfoot for a pick. Toronto dumps cap to afford Dumba. Minny gets a young RHD to replace Dumba while not taking on the other team's cap dump in which they offload it to the Canucks. Canucks get a 2nd round pick for taking on the cap dump from Toronto. Toronto gets: Dumba Canucks get: Kerfoot 2nd round pick (MIN) Minny gets: Liljegren Canucks don't give up anything here but cap space. IMPORTANT: THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE. DON'T LOSE SLEEP OVER THE VALUES PRESENTED LOL.
  16. Just an FYI, playing 3rd party to retain doesn't return much. Likely a 4th or 5th round pick. We are way better off taking a full on cap hit with a sweetener.
