  1. I've run the numbers numerous times. Signing Petey and Hughes won't be an issue with Miller onboard. Talking $10M+ for Petey and $9M for Hughes.
  2. It's a 2024 2nd... how is it looking juicy? We don't even know where we will finish next year lol
  3. Ok guys, I did my part. Who we picking?
  4. So instead of embracing the fact we have a player of this calibre, and one that will very likely finish among the top scorers of all time with the Canucks once his career is done, people are gonna complain for the next 8 years about something yet to happen... man, I don't blame players one bit when they have the Canucks on their "do not trade" list
  5. To VAN Chychrun Crouse To ARZ Demko McDonough Rathbone NYI 1st
  6. Riley Stillman: "I'm the tank commander!!!" Spencer Martin: "Hold my beer...."
  7. Yup, there's a reason they signed him to that 7 year deal. He's their defensive anchor on the blueline... something we sorely miss.
  8. I don't agree with you often, but I do agree with you here. I rather our prospects continue developing in Abby than to be subject to this losing environment. Grab guys like this to fill in gaps where we need em.
  9. Exactly. And since Bo has left, Miller has took his game up to another level again. What on Earth are people complaining about?
  10. Look, Miller is playing well offensively and defensively, is providing leadership (ask Podkolzin what he thinks of Miller), is not pouting or giving up on plays anymore, and is dominating on the faceoff dot. What exactly are you looking for? And what exactly are you complaining about? You're complaining for the sake of complaining = HATER.
  11. These haters can hate all they want. Reality is Miller took a discount to stay. He EASILY could have gone to UFA and get $9M per. The guy just came off a 99 point season lol
  12. I honestly see Pavelski and Miller as complete comparables. When you watch both of them play, they're very similar.
  13. Since Bo has left, Miller has gone 31 wins and 24 losses on the faceoff dot for a combined 56.3% winning percentage. You know what they say, practice makes perfect. Wouldn't surprise me to see that % climb further as Miller becomes the main faceoff guy for this club.
  14. If Miller puts up 50+ points per season at 36 to 38 years of age, I'd be happy with that. $8M on the cap hit 9 years from now will be a much smaller % of the upper cap limit. At 35 years old, the Sedins were still putting up 70+ point seasons. That's pretty on par with what a current $8M player should be doing lol
  15. Since Bo has left, Miller has gone 31 wins and 24 losses on 55 draws -- good for a 56.3% faceoff winning percentage. Miller has stepped up every facet of his game since Bo has left. Open up your eyes and try and see what is actually happening rather than trying to FIND things to complain about.
  16. 12 goals and 26 points in 83 career NHL games. "Kieffer Bellows is a skilled power forward who can dominate games. Possesses high end puckhandling ability as well as a crisp, accurate release on his shot. Proficient forechecker and loves to win puck battles, which stands out as a consistent part of his game. Strong skater who can bull through the opposition or go around them. Drives the net hard and is a decisive finisher. All-in-all, a competitor who punishes the opposition physically, as well as on the scoreboard." 24 years old turning 25 this year. Power forwards take longer to develop. Worth a claim? Sure. Will the Canucks do it? Nope. NEXT!!!
  17. TSN Trade Bait Board: https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/timo-meier-stays-atop-new-nhl-trade-deadline-trade-bait-board-but-for-how-long-1.1917520
  18. So a 25yo 6'6" Greenway is on the trade bait board. What would it take to acquire him? Is he a Tocchet type player? I would think so. Clearly Minny wouldn't want any cap coming back their way, so it would have to be a prospect or a pick. Having Greenway, Lazar, and Joshua on a 3rd line would be pretty nice to see.
  19. Might not be in our best interests either. His play can only go up from here. I highly doubt it'll get any worse. If he does find his touch again, we definitely could sell him for a lot more next year.
  20. Either that, or we take cap back. Taking back a contract that ends in 2023-24 would be fine. We could retain 50% at next TDL and flip for more assets then.
  21. We'll find out... but the reality is that it's not out of the realm of possibilities. 10 points per $1M AAV cap hit is reasonable.
