  1. I've got lots of respect for your opinions on prospects as you seem to do a ton of research and scouting on all of them. I'm just basing my potential for Raty on how he put up 40pts in 41gms as a 19 year old in SM Liiga. Pretty impressive IMO.
  2. He hasn't spent a lot of time with Miller, Petey, or Bo this year. He's still on a 60pt pace.
  3. Or perhaps we're ready to draft one of the top ranked goalies in this year's draft. Demko would probably be able to bring back another 1st round pick this year. We'd have 3 of them and at least one 2nd to work with (assuming Schenn or Boeser don't bring more 2nds)
  4. Oh man, those were terrible years. I think the saving grace here is that we have arguably the best goalie coach in the NHL. We SHOULD be able to develop a good goalie. Just not sure about an elite one. Goaltending is vital to a championship calibre team, so we better have a plan in place.
  5. I would have simply let John Stevens or Dowling walk as UFAs than to lose a 25 yo Pederson.
  6. I made a post in the proposals forum, but I'll post here too to discuss... To BUF: Demko Schenn To VAN: Levi Jokiharju 2nd (VGK)
  7. I believe it's Brake Livingster... some kinda merge between the two.
  8. To BUF: Thatcher Demko Luke Schenn To VAN: Devon Levi Henri Jokiharju 2nd Round Pick (VGK) Buffalo is clearly ready to break out. The only glaring 'weak' spot for them is goaltending. Demko solidifies that position for them, and with their defence with Dahlin and Power, Demko's numbers should be fantastic there. Schenn is added to their roster to bring some toughness to protect Dahlin/Power the same way he has done for Hughes. Canucks get a very promising goalie prospect to develop into the next starting netminder for the franchise in Devon Levi. They also pickup a very good and young RHD in Jokiharju. The 2nd round pick is the VGK one (BUF has three 2nd round picks). There we go. Blockbuster initiated. More youth injected.
  9. I like what I see when it comes to Beauvillier's playoff performance (even dating back to his junior days).
  10. TBH, I was actually gonna put down the deal as Beauvillier, Raty, and a 1st... I just didn't realistically think LL would be dumb enough to give up a mid-1st round pick in this deep draft year. That alone tells me that the Canucks did well on the Horvat trade.
  11. Yup. And with moving PLD, they could keep Miller long term.
  12. Except 4 was shot down numerous times. It was never on the table.
  13. Yeah we need to build a balanced roster. We NEED guys like this to make things work. Having a bunch of talent is useless if it doesn't all fit together. It's pretty obvious.
  14. Oh man, I hope that doesn't become the running joke around here. It would seriously be the bains of my existence.
  15. Yeah, could see that. Could even see a 1st from a contender that sees his value. I just put "a 3rd" because I think that's the floor in terms of his value. Same with Brock. I think a 2nd is actually very realistic for him.
  16. Brock for a 2nd Schenn for a 3rd We'd have two 1sts, two 2nds, and two 3rds in this draft. That'd be incredible.
  17. Yeah that's not even an exaggeration either. I could easily see a 14th OA pick being traded for picks 25 and 29 or something along those lines.
  18. Well said, I don't know why it's so difficult for people to comprehend. I feel like they only look at it from one perspective. Other teams simply look elsewhere if Bo costs too much.
  19. The likelihood is how much they value Raty, but more likely that 1st round pick. None of the contenders would have a pick in the range we are looking at from NYI. A late 1st is worth considerable less than a mid 1st.
