  1. I think it was futile last TDL ... he wasn't exactly playing well. Also as a pending RFA with a $7.5M QO, nobody wanted to touch that.
  2. Well yeah, it's obvious Martin and Delia are good to go.
  3. He doesn't check emails on holidays. I've tried before.
  4. I think so. I remember running the numbers on it and it was 'ok'. Not ideal, but it would have worked, and we'd be able to re-sign Bo right now without question.
  5. Then take the 7.5M qualifying offer. We would be in a much better spot right now if we did that.
  6. A 1 year 'show me' deal would have been much wiser. What's the worst that could happen? He either has an incredible year, so we now know he's worth it, or he has a year like he's having now and we can then re-sign him for much less or let him walk. Lack of foresight by management locked us into this 3 year deal where we will have trouble unloading it.
  7. In 7 years when Bedard and Michkov become UFAs.... WIN DA CUP!
  8. I honestly think it's gonna happen. I think Brock is gonna be moved, Bo will be re-signed, and in the off season, Myers gets moved. Then there's cap flexibility for next season to try and improve some more.
  9. Didn't this management group re-sign Brock Boeser?
  10. They build it like that, but they carry 22 players during the season. Why carry dead cap that impacts cap accrual? Most of the time, they would just have a guy flexible enough to be called up or sent down when needed.
  11. Tell me you come from a classy family without telling me you come from a classy family. I mean, wow, even a childhood friend is included in the mix. Now we know where Kuz gets it from.
  12. Exactly this. Petey is the key to the future. If Kuz keeps Petey happy, this is well worth the bridge contract.
  13. No no... when I did the math, it's $10M cap remaining with Horvat and Bear in the lineup.
  14. Not gonna argue with you when you haven't even looked. I'd say about 20 out of the 32 teams have 7D on the cap.
  15. Yeah I'm not 100% sold on Stankoven. Size alone would be a concern for me. The guy is 5'7" lol
  16. Yup. Feel free to go through all the teams on CapFriendly. 7D is the norm.
  17. If he's on LTIR for another season, then we just leave it. Not ideal, but we wouldn't be able to move him anyways if that were the case.
  18. Yeah, I included Myers as well to give the team greater cap flexibility. We could probably retain $2M on Myers and move him quite easily with plenty of cap space remaining. Brock and Myers are they key to re-signing Bo (if that's what management wants to do).
  19. The word from insiders is that Boeser could possibly be moved for a draft pick (2nd or 3rd rounder). Myers would probably be moved quite easily in the offseason. He'd only have 1 year left.
  20. I actually said $8M AAV in my reply to aGENT. That's where I think he'd sign, but I'm not sure JR/PA would go that high.
  21. I dunno, I'm not 100% sold that Bo is gonna be moved. I think the reports were JR/PA were offering in the $6s and Bo's party likely wants in the $8s. Wouldn't surprise me if they landed in the middle. Why would we not carry 7D? That's pretty standard. 13F, 7D, 2G. Majority of the teams in the league carry 7D, not 8D.
  22. Sign Bo after moving Brock. Move Myers in the summer like you said. I don't think Bo will take less than $8M AAV. Personally I think he's insulted with the fiasco around Miller signing first. So he'll want at a minimum what Miller got. Right now, we're carrying Myers, Schenn, Bear, and Burroughs on the cap with 8 defencemen in total. We move Schenn to get us down to 7 defencemen and 3 RHD. So yes, we save the $1M.
