Maybe when he gets some ice time he should use it to make himself somewhat noticeable. Again, he has played 9 NHL games and I care to say he may as well have played zero.....
also, why do you think the other two got more of a look, maybe because they were noticeable when they got a chance.
Grenier has played in 9 NHL games and is a -5. He has been invisible in whatever ice time he has had. He hasn't even made a LaBate or Kenins impression at all.
Why are we really all that worried about burning a year. I get that our season is done but let's get the kid some NHL games as a taste, send him to Utica for playoffs and be ready to go next year.
You don't think Matthews, Laing, PLD and JP were ranked ahead of MT? And that MT and OJ weren't in the same ballpark draftwise? Our best defenceman in our 45'ish year history is Lumme. Mother f'n Lumme. You think maybe we should draft a D?
my point on McAvoy is that you have no idea who will be the best player from a draft 6 months after the draft.
Please don't use Damien Cox as a reasoning to say OJ wasn't in the same class. He is an idiot.
Matthews with Laine close behind
JP
PLD
MT, OJ,Nylander, Sergachev all in the same ballpark
for all anyone know Charlie McAvoy might end up being the best D man of the whole lot
They bring all their prospects in the summer for a camp where they go through meals and diet. Do you really think with a trainer on staff that they don't have individual plans for every player? Come on man.....
All this talk about Ollie over Tkachuk. Vancouver has been in the league for 45 years and have never had a number one stud D man. Hence, no cups. Benning picked the D man who he thought could be that guy. Will he? Who knows. But donkeys on here "claiming" they don't see him as any better than a 4 or 5 D man 6 months after being drafted are out to lunch. They have no idea...... no one does..
This is a silly post. Sadly all you will have to do to backtrack from this in 3-4 years is post a barely read "man was I wrong" post and all will be good.....
