  1. I traded for him in my NHL 23 franchise. He's good
  2. Oof. If only we'd had 2 picks in this draft might have been able to get both guys
  3. Looks really solid and fills a need, but I think they made a mistake passing on Benson. Oh well, time will tell.
  4. Detroit helping us out at the draft again
  5. Benson is the best of the remaining options IMO.
  6. Damn there goes the other gem I was hoping would slide to us.
  7. I honestly think he might end up being just as good as Bedard down the road.
  8. ughhhhh was praying Michkov would magically fall to us because of the Russia thing but I knew it would never happen but still sad.
  9. Seeing Bedard in a Blackhawks jersey is not very fun.
  10. Benson may be small but he is unreal talent. Would be thrilled if we get him.
  11. Whoa!! I knew Az would go off the board because they usually do, but I was not expected Simashev
  12. Have a feeling MTL will go a bit off the board here... let's see...
  13. Good move for Calgary to keep this short term. I think Sharangovich is underrated.
  14. Good move for both sides. Avs building out their C depth and Tampa needs draft picks to refill their coffers.
  15. Seems like it. Ironically I'd say being in the mushy middle is worse for the fans than being a draft lottery team picking top 3 or even top 5 after a season like we just witnessed.
  16. The key part of that interview is when he says they tried to play both sides too much, aka re-tooling on the fly. It doesn't work, you just end up confused and in the mushy middle. Have to lean into being bad when the team is bad. Don't know why ownership never accepts it.
  17. We're gonna do so many THINGS. You just wait. It's gonna be amazing. Significantly so.
  18. "Retooling on the Fly" is Swedish for "Perpetual Mediocrity"
  19. I think coming out of the lock out when the cap was first implemented, it was a point of pride for the organization to be a "spend to the cap" team, and they just never adjusted to understand that cap space has a significant amount of value, especially when you are not a playoff team.
  20. Sounds like a team committed to a cycle of mediocrity .
